Only two days of shopping left at the QVV Artisan Studios! Doodlepalooza is well stocked with NFLD penny and nickel shirts this week; small, medium large, XL and XXL. In case you were wondering, 1947 was the last year they minted the NFLD penny and nickel before we joined Canada in 1949. Drop by John’s studio here in Quidi Vidi to check them out! We’re open 10-4 on Thursday & Friday, closed on Christmas Eve until January 12.

Our next vendor featured in our spotlight is Kara Lynn Design!

Kara Lynn is an artist and children’s wear designer in St. John’s, working out of the Quidi Vidi Artisan Studios. For her designs, Kara finds inspiration and comfort in the strong craft and heritage preservation of this province. Upon her move from Ontario to Newfoundland, Kara found that same love of heritage everywhere, and now blends the traditional designs from her life with the culture she has become a part of.

2021 had me in a bit of a stasis.

But December found a new job, and a switch to online sales.

Sometimes you can't see growth coming and it surprises you.

I hope 2022 is full of growth and positive surprise for us all.

Don't forget a card when someone's having a baby!

Cards are great because they are easy to keep as a memento, I have a scrapbook of the cards my parents received when I was born. It's amazing to see how supportive and loving their family and friends were when I was born.

You can never have enough scrunchies.

Especially if you have a pet that steals them.

Or your long hair keeps hitting your baby in the face.
