This babe usually gets blonde hilights and toner. One day we desired a change, so we added hilights as usual. But instead of using the toner to enhance her blonde, we made her a RED HEAD 🤩👩🏼‍🦰

… and when she came back for her next apt, she was a grown out blonde. You could hardly tell she used to be red!

The beauty is that toners aren’t meant to last forever. They generally ‘wash up’ each time you shampoo or use your tools on high heat!

And YES, ANYONE can rock a colourful coiffe! It’s a highly acknowledged form of self expression!

Hair colour can be as muted or loud as you like, whether it be a tiny streak of purple tucked away underneath or a full on glow in the dark rainbow Mohawk! I am here to deliver it all! 🤩😍

I get a lot of questions about the products I use for these projects so let’s taco bout it 🌮

I stock 3 main brands of SEMI-PERMANENT direct dyes and choose accordingly for your desired results. I LOVE using semi because it is easy to remove/change! 🤩 I have used permanent products in the past but they literally don’t go away‼️ They need to be cut out or coloured over. And they have eaten through my gloves, bowls, and even my hair chair 😅 Semi colours DONT DO THAT. They are also shinier and fade away nicer 🙌🏽

These colours do require your hair to be lightened (“bleached”) beforehand, but here’s the kicker- 👏🏽 YOU 👏🏽 DON’T 👏🏽 HAVE 👏🏽 TO 👏🏽 BLEACH 👏🏽 EVERY 👏🏽 TIME 👏🏽 YOU 👏🏽 NEED 👏🏽 A 👏🏽 COLOUR 👏🏽 REFRESH 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 we are trying to preserve the hair health, people! Plus save you time and $$ while keeping you fresh and gorgeous 😘

Almost every person you see in these photos comes in for colour tune ups in between ‘bleaching’ appointments. And honestly, the only reason the others don’t is because they get their hair done once a year (meaning minimal risk of damage).

Pointers for those with semi permanent colour: stretch out your wet washes & use cold water and colour-safe shampoo when you do, use dry shampoo when you can, turn down your heat tools, and don’t use white towels or turtlenecks 😅
