Just finished this larger plank board. My thoughts while painting this one....I grew up in a very small community, moved to the city when I finished high school... I love Lighthouses and beaches and have fond memories of the little stages and boats moored off, grew up watching whales from our house and the Church was very prominent in the communities then....
I still hang my clothes on the line to dry.....

I finally managed to find some nice driftwood pieces.The nice pieces are getting harder to find. Similarly sea glass - very hard to find good pieces now.

Just finished 6 Driftwood Villages for a client.
Each one has its own personality. 😁

Latest 'commissioned' Driftwood Village.

Client wanted same color scheme as my last one. I added sea glass to make windows in the doors to this one 😁

Eventhough colors are same as last I feel it still holds its unique quality because house shapes are always different, whimsical roofs are always unique because they are random, small pieces of driftwood.

What do you think of these "Shelf Sitters"?

Another Driftwood Village has found its new home.

One of my largest Villages - 9 colorful houses with whimsical roofs.
Driftwood I collected this summer in Newfoundland. What luck to find an old Barrel that had fallen apart. Perfect base for my Driftwood Villages. Add some old man's beard to complete the look.
I love how this one turned out.

Just finished this Driftwood Village. I painted a little floral design at bottom of this one and added some small pinecones.
The board the houses are on is a piece from an old barrel.

I managed to salvage a few old barrel pieces so keep an eye out as I will be using them in my next few villages. 😉

Another one of my Driftwood Villages finished and waiting for its new home. I dried some wildflowers and added them to the old man's beard on bottom of this one.
