Come join us this morning by the Avon River in Stratford for our BIG Walk for brain injury awareness!!
There are stations set up from health professionals to provide education as well as resources and prizes + more!
We are here 10am-12pm!

You’re invited to provide brain injury education and promote your services! The JOIN US NEXT WEEK for the Brain Injury Group (B.I.G) Walk on June 15th, 2024 from 10:00-12:00 pm @ the William Allman Memorial Arena (15 Morenz Dr.) in Stratford.
Providers will be assigned a space along the route to set up a table. Space is limited. Priority will be given to Perth based practices. Please note: you will be responsible for your own handouts/ resources as well as set-up and take-down of the stations.

TOMORROW: The Perth County Brain Injury Support Group is pleased to share that Artist with a Master's of Social Work, Hank Graves, will be hosting a mindful art workshop at the Local in Stratford on April 30th, 2024 from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.

The Perth County Concussion Program (PCCP) is a 6-week multi-disciplinary education program for individuals with post-concussion symptoms. It provides education and strategies to improve functioning, coping, and life participation post-concussion. Guest speakers include occupational
therapy, physiotherapy, speech-language pathology and social work.
This program is appropriate for adolescents/adult survivors and caregivers and all are welcome to join however, priority is given to Perth County Residents.

Last night, those who attended the Perth Brain Injury Support Group meeting were able to learn several new strategies for self-advocating in the community, with family & friends as well as in the healthcare setting. Members left with tools to carry with them for conversation starting, boundary setting, appointment preparation, and many other social situations!
