A very busy day for Cats at Home last Friday and a pretty full house. No really sick kitties thankfully but lots of ultrasounds to get done.

This is Libby one of our hospital cats who has found a forever home. She has FIV but is doing really well with her loving human. Libby knows when it is time for her meds and comes to sit on this mat, as her human has made it a pleasant experience .

One of the nice things about the holiday season is taking time to watch the feline family members find pleasure in such simple things. Monroe is having the time of her life in her scratch box! What have your kitties been up to?

Thank you to everyone who generously contributed to our Christmas cat food and toy drive - all was safely delivered to the Surrey Food Bank to provide a little help to families with kitties.

Someone put on his Christmas sparkle bow collar for his kitten visit today. And a safe breakaway collar no less. So handsome and chill, you definitely put a big sparkle in our day, Oaks ❤️

This handsome boy is having his first blood pressure check and handling it with his usual chill demeanour. We use high definition oscillometry which gives accurate systolic and diastolic readings in awake cats, with a little pressure cuff on the tail. Has your cat had his or her BP checked? And he just likes sitting in the weigh scale too lol.

Cats at home is again collecting cat food, treats and cat toys for the Surrey Food Bank. We do hope everyone can join us to help cat families who may be struggling at this time of year. Stop by the hospital or just call us to donate. 604 574 8873. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

It is with great sadness that we said goodbye to Lilycat yesterday. She had just returned from Mexico with Dr. Thompson and Jim but was not feeling herself. Ultrasound revealed a large tumour in her stomach that was not treatable. This precious being had been with her Cats at Home/Thompson family since 6 weeks of age and had that amazing zest for life that often accompanies disability. Lilycat will live on in her family’s many memories 💔.
