Recently, we were honoured to have met the renowned actor Mr. Yograj Singh for a meet and greet session at the PICS Head office. On May 17, 2024, PICS Society participated in a cheque presentation and received a generous donation of $2,000 from students at L.A. Matheson Secondary for a 125-bed senior care facility, the “Guru Nanak Diversity Village” Project. For the fourth year in a row, the annual fundraiser is part of the school's Sikh Heritage Month celebrations. To date, the students have raised a combined total of $15,508. Heartful thanks to Gurpreet Kaur Bains (Modern Languages Department Head), Principal Deol of L. A. Matheson Secondary, and many others who supported and inspired the students to be part of the Guru Nanak Diversity Village fundraiser. It was amazing to witness youth leaders come together to support an important cause and their ongoing efforts have led to a huge success!
