A Nourished and Thriving Community, Free of Poverty
Since 1983, the Surrey Food Bank has been assisting low income individuals and families who live in Surrey and North Delta by primarily providing bi-weekly food hampers to supplement a client's food needs. All funding comes directly from the community as the food bank does not receive any core government funding. Operations are overseen by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers and supported by

Our volunteers had an incredible time, and weβre so grateful to everyone who made it happen. Special thanks to Save-On-Foods in Newton for donating 500 pumpkins to the public and to the generous community members who contributed! This weekend, we collected 248 lbs of non-perishable items and $1,396.59βall going directly to families in Surrey and North Delta.

What an incredible day at Nate & Drew's Thanks for Giving Food Drive on Friday, October 11th! We gathered bright and early at Guildford Mall, united by the spirit of kindness and giving back. Our amazing Surrey Food Bank volunteers teamed up with the wonderful staff from Move FM 103.5 Vancouver to meet and greet mall customers and listeners tuning in to the morning show. Thanks to everyoneβs generosity, we collected an impressive 215 pounds of food and $6,205!
A special shoutout to the dedicated team from California Closets, whose support and energy made this event such a success. We are beyond grateful for the amazing community engagement and contributions.

On August 29th, we had the honor of welcoming Team BMO to the Surrey Food Bank for a day of service and solidarity. This incredible group of 9 volunteers showed up, met with our clients, and worked alongside other dedicated volunteers, spreading hope and compassion throughout the morning.

On September 20th, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of around 40 students all the way from Osaka, Japan π―π΅ for a tour of our facility and a chance to learn about our mission. Their curious minds spent an hour with our staff, diving into what we do and how we serve our community.

September 16th: Coast Capital and a day we will never forget! π
We are beyond grateful to Coast Capital for their ongoing support of the Surrey Food Bank since 2005. This month, they made an incredible donation of $30,000! πβ¨ But they didnβt stop thereβa team of over 20 Coast Capital employees joined us to volunteer, helping sort donations and assist with various tasks such as preparing boxes for the food drive season.
It truly was a BLUE DAY at our facility, filled with joy, learning, and an abundance of kindness as you can see in the carousel of pictures. πͺ Their team took a tour of our facility so that they could learn more about our mission and values. We hope the memories from this day stay with them for a long time!

β¨BC Thanksgiving Food Drive 2024: A Record-Breaking Success!
We are beyond grateful to the amazing community that came together to support those in need during this yearβs BC Thanksgiving Food Drive. With the help of the fantastic team at Save on Foods Stores and the generous members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 140 Ave and 126 Ave, we collected an incredible 8,000 lbs of non-perishable items for the Surrey Food Bank! This was possible because of PEOPLE LIKE YOU who embraced the campaign.π₯«πͺ
This year, we doubled last yearβs collection β a true testament to the power of community and kindness. π Thank you to everyone who contributed and made this event on Saturday, the 21st, a huge success! Letβs continue to spread the spirit of giving and make a positive impact together. π
