A masseter story ! This lovely young woman was suffering from jaw pain and headache due to jaw clenching. She is now pain free, and over the year and a half that these photos span, achieved a lovely facial slimming as well. We uncovered her beautiful cheeks that were hiding !!!! The only treatment done was neuromodulator, in this case, for shinking the jaw muscle which was very large because of this behavior. No fillers were used.
Not a treatment for everyone, but in the right patient, it can be magic!!

One of my favourite areas to treat is the hand.
Most of us focus on the face and all of a sudden realize that the hands are not keeping up!!! ✋✋✋ Hands can be improved with dermal fillers and in my opinion, the best product for this is a bio stimulant like the one used here which not only gives volume but also improves the skin quality as well.

While I love platelet rich plasma ( although I recently have made the switch to platelet rich fibrin as the slower release of platelet growth factors makes sense to me), sometimes patients plateau in response and it is nice to have another tool in the tool box ….

Facial slimming for this lovely lady. This patient was looking for a slimmer and more heart shaped face ❤️❤️❤️and I think we achieved that and more with targeted injections 💉💉💉into the masseter muscle at the angle of the jaw.
The transformation in this case took a couple of sessions of treatment of neuromodulator, in this case, Nuceiva but now that the masseter muscle is smaller and where we want it, we can expect to retreat in about 9 months or so.
Probably half of the patients I treat with masseter injections are for TMJ pain and half are purely for aesthetic reasons. Some patients are also referred by their dentists who are noticing dental adverse effects from grinding and clenching.

He wasn’t aware that it could be removed with minimal chance of scarring, but is now!!!
It was removed using the Ellman Surgitron, a radiofrequency device that is effective and the method of removal
least likely to leave a scar.

Third in the series of “Just because I wanted to share”! Given that I have shared photos of some of my Japanese maples before ( can one ever have too many?), I thought I would show off these showy maples. The first is Acer palmatum “Chizio Improved”, the second is Shin Deshojo, and in the last photo, the green one to the right is “Orange Dream”, although where I have it , it doesn’t get any direct sunlight this time of year so is not orange as it is supposed to be in the spring. The red weeper to the left is likely Crimson Queen, however it was purchased before I became obsessed and as such, the tag and the exact name were forgotten! P.S. None of the photos have been enhanced and pretty much show how they really look in the garden! Wow! Be sure to click like if you do!!
