🚨As was highly anticipated, the Bank of Canada announced a 25 basis point cut to its policy rate today, bringing it down to 4.25%.

This marks the third consecutive rate cut this year, aimed at controlling inflation and boosting the economy.

This decision reflects ongoing concerns about the potential for economic slack, with BoC Governor Tiff Macklem emphasizing that future rate decisions will depend on inflation trends and economic strength, hinting at the possibility of more aggressive cuts if needed.

This rate cut could lead to lower borrowing costs, easing some financial pressures for homeowners, businesses, and potential buyers. 📉

The next announcement will be in September. Some industry experts think we could see interest rates lowered by a total of 100 basis points by the end of the year. Let’s hope this trend continues!

📦 Ready to sell your house but on a tight budget? 🏡 Here are 7 budget-friendly staging tips to help you sell faster and for more money! 💸✨

1️⃣ Depersonalize: Remove personal items like family photos and kids’ artwork so buyers can envision themselves living in the home. This also gives you a head start on packing!

2️⃣ Declutter: Define the purpose of each room and remove unnecessary items. For example, if an office also serves as a workout space, showcase it as one or the other.

3️⃣ White Towels & Bedding: Use white or neutral-colored towels and bedding to create a clean, bright look. These don’t need to be high-end, just visually appealing.

4️⃣ Throw Pillows: Use pillows to make rooms look more inviting. Neutral pillows for colorful rooms and colorful pillows for neutral rooms. Refresh old pillows by washing or using slipcovers.

5️⃣ Oversize Decor: Choose a few large items over many small ones to make a space feel grand and uncluttered. Examples include large vases and big lamps.
