Over the last two and a half weeks, the employees from our gas plant in Paris, donated money to purchase toys for our local Salvation Army. The Salvation Army in Brantford (Brant County) provides direct, compassionate, hands-on services and restores hope and dignity to society’s most vulnerable.
🎉68 AMAZING employees participated raising an outstanding $2,830, beating their record from last year!🎉 With the money raised, we were able to purchase 121 toys and gift cards for this worthwhile cause!! See below for just a few of the group who made this happen, we are so proud of your accomplishment!

In general, universal applications are possible with the oxy-acetylene flame. However, since the welding torch makes it possible to reach places that are particularly difficult to access, this process is preferred in pipeline and plant construction. It can be used, for example, to bend pipes, to make neckings on pipes, to straighten pipes with the flame or to make brazed joints. Other applications include construction site assembly and the field of repair welding should be mentioned.

Today we recognize The National Day of Mourning which is not only a day to remember and honour those lives lost or injured due to a workplace tragedy, but also a day to collectively renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace and prevent further injuries, illnesses and deaths. We encourage our facilities to pause at 11:00 am on April 28 for a moment of silence.

Daylight savings begins on March 14th. Don't forget this Sunday at 2 am the clocks will move ahead one hour in observance of daylight savings in most provinces. Make it part of your plan to adjust your sleep time to lessen the potential sleep loss which may lead to mistakes due to tiredness. It's also a good time to change out old batteries in your CO and smoke detectors and check the expiry date of the batteries.
