Hey folks! Sorry it has been so long since I have updated! I will be posting more often now to show my work throughout my career.

Back in April I graduated and I moved out of Moose Jaw to a small town near Swift Current. I took some time off and got used to the small town feel and then at the end of May I got a job at a salon in town. I have been there and getting my foot in the door and used to doing hair without an instructor guiding me through every step. Now I am ready to let everyone know I am taking clients near and far. If you are ever in the swift current area or you live here I would be ecstatic to be your stylist!

I offer all hair services (colours, cuts, highlights, tape in extensions, etc) as well as facial waxing!! First day at my new job today, I’m officially getting paid to do what I love I can finally say I’m a paid hairstylist. So excited for this new chapter of my life and I just want to thank you all for supporting me in my dreams, hope to see you in my chair in the future! 🥰❤️

Had this wonderful girl in my chair we did her whole underneath with lightener and got a much better result then we even thought we would on the first go around. And took the top half even darker than she was before. We are both so incredibly happy with how this turned out and she’s been recommending me to those who have asked who did her hair. Hey all I just wanted to take this opportunity to talk to you about one group of products I use very regularly! This is the so silver line which is absolutely incredible for those of you out there with unwanted yellow tones like I get being a light blonde. This product will help to maintain and tone your hair in between colouring it. It is a shampoo, conditioner and my favourite a mask! The mask in my opinion is gold and a life saver in my world. You can leave it on for no less than 5 minutes but I love to leave it on over night and just make sure you throw a bag on it to make sure it stays saturated. The longer you leave it on the more purple/silvery your hair will be of course it won’t last the more you wash it the more it fades out but you can always recreate it with the mask again! This is a product I swear by and use very regularly you can either come in to the school or order it online just make sure when you come in you give the girls my name at the front, ask for me or put my name in the note section when ordering online!! Today my lovely sister came in to get bright vibrant colour put in to her hair. She has always loved her red but today we added a little twist to it by adding purple and a much more vibrant red, red hot to be exact. So happy with how thus beautiful hair turned out, thank you so much for travelling all the way from Saskatoon so I could do your hair, was a great day spent with you!! Had this wonderful lady come in to get the orange tones her hair was giving off neutralized and to do a whole new colour put in! MODELS NEEDED for my practical exam October 13th, individual with medium hair will be there for a few hours as there is multiple exam portions being done with their hair and the male with clipper work will only be there for the duration of one cut. Ashley have us a special challenge, she gave us a mannequin and a hairstyle to pull off and told us to run with it. So we each made a game plan of how to achieve the look we were going for and then proceeded to cut the mannequin in that manner.

My challenge was a short bob with a very flown bang. The first picture is the bang I achieved and the second is the bang I was going for. 3rd picture is the hair cut achieved, while the 4th is the look I was going for. And finally the 5th picture is how the mannequin started.

I gave her a beautiful blow out to complete the overall effect of the cut and I am super proud of how gorgeous it turned out. Love these little challenges of our skills and knowledge! Did this colour correction yesterday, was quite a process especially since we couldn’t get that blue to budge. But we got it neutralized and she was very happy with the results. GREAT NEWS!!! Starting MAY 19th we will be back at the salon full time, alternating days between students!! My first day will be the 20th so please let me know if you would like to book in or if you go online to the Elite website (https://www.elitetrainingcenter.ca) you can now BOOK ONLINE!! Simply click the little task bar on your right (three lines) and click book online you can select when you would like to come in and it will bring up all the available times and students available to do that service! If you are wanting to get in with a certain student (me for example) select the date and service for when you would like to come in and then select my name (under the 4th option bar that says first available), if I am in it will bring up all my availability if I’m not in that day you may have to pick another day or student (the following day I would be in most likely) or of course you can always call the salon and we can get you booked in that way this is just a more effective and efficient way for us to serve you better. Hey Facebook, I know it’s been quite a while but with everything going on it’s been hard to get on here to keep everyone updated! But we are back. We are doing online courses to continue our education with our amazing instructors and fellow students.
