An indoor wilderness themed adventure park with interactive activities and games that will have your child exercising, exploring, learning & developing. AH HA!
Smiles are made inside MapleMoose Adventure Park, a safe, clean, supervised and open play area that is fully-accessible for all children including those with special needs and/or physical disabilities - featuring Thunder Bay’s only indoor play structure! AH HA (Active, Healthy, Happy and Alive) moments happen here. As children (ages 5-12) participate in active play, engage in interactive games tha
t offer rewards and prizes while encouraging problem solving and cooperation, or challenge themselves on the rock climbing wall, they have the time of their lives while also exercising, exploring and learning valuable skills. Watch the smiles as children climb, swing, jump, roll, crawl and make their way through the 2500 square foot, three-storey play structure. Made of natural materials with no sharp edges or corners and with ample padding, the fully-visible structure with exciting terrain and obstacles is a Canadian made design with safety and accessibility in mind. There’s room for the youngest adventurers to learn to embrace an AH HA (Active, Healthy, Happy and Alive) life too! Infants and toddlers (ages 0-4) play, explore and develop skills with a series of specially-designed climbing areas, slides, swings, and sensory play. There is also ample space for exploration, dramatic play and ‘tummy time’ on our all natural, heated, anti-microbial floor. For parents and caregivers, MapleMoose provides a comfortable and welcoming environment along with many conveniences from home. Washroom facilities feature step stools and optional toddler seats, or clean up at our wash fountain located in the play park. Parents can also enjoy a relaxing seating area with high-visibility of the play structure and free Wi-Fi. Also available is our Quiet Room, which provides children and adults with a space that allows for a break from the stimulation in the park. The Quiet Room is also breastfeeding friendly and features an oversized changing station. The Benefits of Active Play: Children who engage in active play not only increase their physical activity levels but also learn valuable life skills. As children are presented with challenges, interactions and situations that allow them to build skills and competencies, they are also honing the same social, mental and physical skills they’ll need in other aspects of life. Active play can help a child gain confidence and boost self-esteem while also helping to develop basic motor skills, imagination and creative skills, and improving social and language skills. They have fun and learn at the same time – it’s like hiding vegetables in cake!
