So here’s an update: as much as I’d love to, I’m not able to keep this business going at this time.

It is something I have invested a lot of time & energy in so while there is the option to simply shut it down, it would be great if it can benefit someone else going forward.

🪴 Recently, a friend asked me about the importance of Ramadan & Fasting. In responding to her I realized that so many of us have friends who are unfamiliar with the meaning behind Ramadan & Fasting and how, as Muslims, one of our most common responses to this question is to say that it is about being able to feel the pain of those less fortunate than us. While that is indeed one part of the value fasting holds for us, it is so much more than that.

🪴 When I began planning for the Ramadan Bundles, I had a million ideas and had to seriously narrow them to the ones that were doable in the best way.

🪴 What helped me create a track and stay on that track was to set my intentions on what I want to accomplish through selling these bundles.

🪴 These were 3 of my main ones:
- Contributing to the excitement around Ramadan & Eid through the Sunnah of Gift Giving which, as the Prophet (s) said, increases our love for one another
- Supporting others through the resources made available to me
- For people to have beautiful AND functional keepsakes

🪴 As a new entrepreneur, there were (still are) many moments of doubt and fear and almost giving up, thinking this won’t work/I can’t do it, so I’ve had to continuously redirect myself to my intentions to get the motivation to keep going.

🪴 I hope the final product(s) appeal to at least some of you and that I am able to fulfill these intentions to some extent insha’Allah!

🪴 When I started this business, I thought even if I can just sell the inventory I’ve accumulated for this idea and have to end it after, that will be okay- never expecting it to take off in such a way and even last this long.

🪴 There was so much I got to learn along the way. From realizing (thanks to my husband) after weeks into it that I had to change my pricing because it was all wrong and I had actually mostly been selling at a loss (🙈), to figuring out the optimum way to ship succulents in winter and so much in between, it has been an enriching journey.

🪴 It is challenging to perfect and grow this business at the pace I want to right now, being a new mom and all. Having single handedly set up and ran the bulk of this business, with invaluable support and help from my husband, family and friends, there is constantly so much to do to maintain it that it leaves little time to develop it further. All in due time though.

🪴 At the moment I’m just grateful for how far it’s come in such a short time and how much I have grown, and continue to grow in the process.

I’ve been thinking about the personalized notes I’ve been reading on the orders I’ve received.

Even though I’ve never met the people sending the gifts nor the ones receiving them, just by reading the notes, I feel like I can sense the genuine love and care between them. 💞
