“In today’s sermon, Bishop Edwards delivered a powerful message titled ‘A High Value Target,’ where he reminded us of the spiritual warfare leaders face. He emphasized that the enemy’s strategy is to neutralize those in leadership, especially pastors, as they are high-value targets under constant demonic attack. Drawing from Ephesians 6, he highlighted how faith serves as a shield in this battle, protecting our minds and spirits. While preaching is what people see, Bishop Edwards reminded us that the true weight of ministry goes much deeper—and even in times of mental struggle, our hearts can remain steadfast in the calling God has placed on us. • Belief Alone Isn’t Enough: Entering the kingdom requires faith that produces works.

• Repentance Doesn’t Excuse Repetition: God’s forgiveness isn’t a license to sin repeatedly.

• Faith Must Be Visible: Genuine faith is shown through actions, not just words (James 2:14-26).

• Test of Faith: God tests believers like He did with Abraham to demonstrate true faith.

• Grace Isn’t a Free Pass: Grace doesn’t justify doing whatever you want; actions should align with faith.

• Demonstration of Belief: Believers must visibly demonstrate their faith, not just profess it verbally.

• God Pushes Us Beyond Comfort: God constantly challenges believers to move beyond their comfort zones to live out their faith.

Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he that winneth souls is wise.

Today Pastor C delivered his sermon titled
“That One Thing”

Key points from the sermon.

• Scripture Reference: 1 Samuel 31:1-7.

1. Core Message: Everyone has “that one thing” they must deal with.

2. Divine Warning: God wants us to let go of “that one thing” because Satan plays a strategic game.

3. Spiritual Warning: Satan waits until your highest point to attack.

4. Service Leads to Purpose: You find your calling while serving.

5. Saul’s Insecurity: Despite Saul’s insecurities, God still chose, anointed, and gifted him (1 Samuel 10).

6. God’s Grace: God looks past insecurities and wrongdoings to bless us.

7. Surrender for Freedom: The only way to be free from struggles is to give them to God
(1 Samuel 15:22).

8. Disobedience: Struggling with “that one thing” is a form of disobedience.

9. Obedience over Worship: True transformation comes from a lifestyle of obedience, not just worship music.

10. Traction through Obedience: Obeying God in any area brings progress.

11. Consequences of Avoidance: Not dealing with “that one thing” can rob you of your legacy, lead to exposure, or spiritual su***de.

12. Sin’s Danger: Sin waits to destroy; stop delaying and deal with it.

13. Surrender to Jesus: Hand over your struggles to Jesus for divine intervention.

14. Righteous Living: Consistent righteous living opens the heavens.

15. Generational Curses: Unresolved issues can pass down through generations.

16. Facing Goliath: If you don’t deal with your “Goliath,” future generations will have to.

17. Impact of Avoidance: Failing to address “that one thing” can destroy the hope of those called to walk alongside you.

Dear EKM Toronto,

On behalf of my wife and I, I would like to take this moment to say thank you. Today marks 3 years since the relaunch of EKM Toronto, and what an experience it’s been! Covid was an uncertain time. Lots of questions plagued my mind. Will people go to church again? Will people trust a new Pastor with a track record in music, and not in preaching? Could we grow past the 20 faithful people who gave me a chance? Will I be able to pay back the money I borrowed for renovations? Do I have what it takes to turn this around?

Lots of sleepless nights and stressful days. Though I was unsure, I moved forward in God’s surety, and He didn’t disappoint! As the scripture says, “…anyone who trusts in Him will never be put to shame.” - Romans 10:11

One by one God started sending you all to EKM. He sent kind and sweet individuals. People who love Him. People who were tired of religion and wanted family. Humble individuals that just wanted God. He sent the broken, the lost, the abandoned and the abused. And now we’re a growing, loving family! You all are a breath of fresh air and also a constant reminder that my sleepless nights were a waste of time 🤣.

Encounter, we’ve accomplished so much in 3 short years - spiritually, financially & numerically. My wife and I are extremely proud of you all and honored to be your Pastors!! But even more importantly, family.

Encounter, God has greater things in store for us. We will continue to see the faithfulness of God. Get ready for the unimaginable. Get ready for the unthinkable.

• Mordecai stood his ground, publicly and at the King’s Gate, demonstrating strength in a place of power.

• Believers must own their Christianity and not compromise their faith.

• Jesus bought believers with a price, making them His children.

4. Living as Kingdom Citizens:

• Christians are not of this world and should not conform to it.

• Attending church is vital for spiritual nourishment.

• Believers have the right to vocalize their biblical truths in all areas of life.

• It’s essential to stand up against societal pressures and speak out in workplaces and families.

6. Reflection and Action:

• Reflect on areas of life where one might be embarrassed or ashamed.

• Recognize that worldly matters are secondary compared to spiritual commitments.

7. Call to Action:

• Christians must stand and draw their sword, which is the word of God.

• Assurance that believers are not alone, as there are many who have not bowed to societal pressures.

Today, Pastor C delivered the third and final installment of his series, “Rated M,” titled “Mental Warfare.”

1. Natural Reflects Spiritual: The way things occur in the natural world is a reflection of how they happen in the spirit.

2. Word of God as Authority: The word of God is the sole authority in a believer’s life.

3. Four Stages for Believers:

• Know the Word: Familiarize yourself with the scriptures.

• Make it Practical: Apply biblical teachings to your daily life.

• Know How to Use It: Understand how to wield the word of God in various situations.

• Resist the Devil: Stand firm against temptations and the works of the enemy.

4. Believers’ Responsibilities: While God works in the supernatural, believers must fulfill their responsibilities.

• For salvation, confess your faith.
• To deal with the flesh, crucify it (Galatians 5:13-24).

5. Spirit vs. Flesh: God set the Spirit within man to counteract the flesh’s desires.

6. Warning Against Substances: Altering the mind with substances leads to stumbling and falling away from righteousness.

7. Living Holy: Bring our flesh before the Lord daily.

• Paul’s example: “I die daily” to the flesh.

8. Transformative Power of the Word: Allow the word of God to dwell within you to change and guide you.

9. Managing Appetites: The flesh always craves more, but living according to the word brings wholeness and balance.

•It’s natural to have an appetite, but God has given instructions on how to manage it.

10. Holy Spirit’s Role: Allow the Holy Spirit to work within you for true change and growth.
