Supermarket Bar & Variety has continued to be a great place for friends to meet and get together for drinks and great entertainment! The entertainment programming at Supermarket is eclectic. During the week all kinds of events such as indie bands, comedy, book launches, open mics, songwriter evenings, dj dance parties, fundraisers, and much more take place in the Supermarket “back room”!

In 2012, The Tragically Hip had a surprise three-day residency at Kensington Market’s Supermarket in celebration of the newly-released “Now For Plan A”. In between short three-song sets every hour, on the hour, the band got a chance to meet and get to know their fans on a personal level.
