The celebration of Eid-ul-fitr without Kimami sewai or Sheer khurma is next to impossible. My favourite between the two is Kimami Sewai. 😋

This is prepared with vermicelli cooked with ghee in flavoured sugar syrup with lots of dry fruits and mawa.
This iconic dessert has defined Eid for generations and brings reminisce of back home.

You guys! So I finally found red carrots here!
After living in 🇨🇦 , the first thing I miss when winter makes it way is Gajar Halwa/Gajarela.
It's such a delhi thing right? If you grew up in and around Delhi eating gajar halwa, you can't possibly enjoy the halwa made with orange carrots. It's just no match!
Classic Indian dessert Gajar Halwa is made with carrots, milk, sugar and ghee!

People associate memories with certain dishes and I associate this dish with my memories of time in Dubai.
I learned with exotic dish made by our cook back then. Therefore, it gladdens my heart to no end that I recreate the same flavors in my kitchen in Canada!
Made with rich mix of onions, almonds, spices and yogurt it is our family favorite.

Pav bhaji, my favorite Indian street food. It's no secret that there are a lot of other delicious Indian street foods but Pao bhaji is unique. Made with blend of spicy mixed vegetables and paired with buttered dinner rolls, it is out of this world delish.
I always make sure to serve it with extra butter, lemon and crisp onions to bring out the best flavor.
My inspiration behind this recipe is my mum. Best cook ever!

If you ask me about my favorite Paneer dish, it has to be Shahi Paneer. Going by its name, Shahi means 'Royal'. Yes it makes a rich and heavy main dish.
It's a must have paneer dish on my dinner table for get togethers/dawats. My version of Shahi Paneer has lots of cashews to make it SHAHI!

My first order was for a pack of Shami Kebabs.Today, my journey has brought me forward to where I am doing multiple party trays in the same time. You never truly know your capabilities until you take that first step.
It's just the beginning of a small step taken to pursue what I wished for!

These Chicken Seekh Kebabs are juicy, flavorful ground meat seasoned with herbs and warm spices.
My husband loves kebabs of all shapes and kinds! But this Chicken Seekh Kebab is his absolute favorite. Because of its melt-in-mouth texture with perfectly grilled skin.

We enjoy these Chicken Kebabs as an appetizer with green chutney/mint raita or roll them up in a pita or paratha for a hearty wrap.

Masala Biryani
It is always biryani o' clock somewhere. There are few things in life that are as soul satisfying as a masala-licious biryani 😋
The kind of biryani where you see the gravy clinging to delicate long strands of rice, wrapping themselves around flavorful spuds and premeating the meat.
This is my mother's recipe ( added few things out of my own cooking experience though ) and it is pretty damn delicious.....
