Today we celebrated Shabbat with our grandparents and families. Our children showed such a love for Jewish learning and it was so beautiful to witness the magic of it all. What a special day at FFCA 💙💚

This is what literacy looks like at FFCA... loose parts, lots of play, sensory and tons of fun!

This is our first week of Kindness Month and Remembrance Day learning. We spend this time introducing the kids to important life skills like teamwork, cooperation and collaboration through play and exploration. Our main goal for Remembrance Day is for the kids to recognize the poppy and know it’s meaning - peace, love, bravery. We teach this idea through loose parts, role playing and small group discussion. Follow along all month long as we begin incorporating the idea of social justice and repairing the world into our classrooms. Kindness makes the world go round 🌎

Congratulations to our superheroes for graduating from Junior Nursery and Nursery! For those of you that are leaving us, we wish you all the very best in JK. We are so proud of all of you and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know you. Please come and visit us. FFCA will always be your home!

As a community we came together on Friday in Thornhill to celebrate the fundraising our families have done over the last few weeks. The kids participated in a morning full of movement by doing yoga, dance, gymnastics and karate. We appreciate the generosity of those individuals who donated their time and services for our kids to enjoy. Together we raised $20,000 for Dr. Jay Children’s Grief Centre, a charity very close to our hearts. Thank you to everyone for being a part of such a special day. It is so important to teach our kids at a young age the importance of “Tikun Olam” and what it means to give back to our community and help those in need. Words cannot describe how proud we are knowing how much of a difference we are making in the lives of children grieving from the loss of a loved one ♥️

Words cannot describe how proud we are knowing how much of a difference we are making in the lives of children grieving from the loss of a loved one ♥️ Our move-a-thon in Thornhill is tomorrow and we hope to hit $20,000.
