That is why today Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that we are putting in place tougher measures for international travel. We have been clear, Canadians should not be travelling right now. These new measures include:

✔️ Cancelling all flights to Mexico and Caribbean vacation destinations until April 30
✔️ Restricting international flights to the only land at Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal airports
✔️ Requiring PCR tests to be conducted on arrival in Canada. Those who test positive will be required to quarantine in a government facility.
✔️ Imposing mandatory quarantine in a supervised hotel on arrival at a cost of more than $2000 per traveller until negative test result (approximately 3 days)
✔️ Mandatory completion of 14 days in quarantine at home for those who test negative under increased surveillance and enforcement
✔️ Everyone crossing the land border from the USA will be required to show a negative PCR test result

We are committed to the safe restart and recovery of the Canadian travel and tourism sector as soon as conditions improve, ideally later this year.

🚨VAC Update🚨

Visa Application Centres (VACs) will begin scheduling limited biometric appointments as of November 20 in: Delhi, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. Family Class applicants and Study Permit principal applicants will have priority as we phase in services.

Walk-in clients at the VACs are not permitted. All appointments must be confirmed in advance. Please do not visit the VAC unless you are attending your own scheduled appointment.

If you have a unique Biometric Instructions Letter (BIL) issued by IRCC, you will receive additional instructions via email to the email ID we have on file for you on how to schedule your biometric appointment.

We appreciate your patience. More appointments will become available each week as we phase in this service.

Remember that you must be studying at one of the approved DLIs to be able to travel to Canada. If your DLI isn’t included, you can’t travel to Canada to study at this time.

Another 621 Canadian-immigration hopefuls have received invitations to apply for a provincial nomination from Saskatchewan.

The SINP held its latest invitation round on Sept 15. Candidates were invited from the International Skilled Worker category through two subcategories: Express Entry, and Occupations In-Demand. In this draw they've particularly invited three IT NOCs 2173/2174/2175 only.

In order to be invited in this draw, candidates from both sub-categories needed to have submitted Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles with the SINP.
