A minor in the Sociology of life covering all Social Sciences!
Diving deep into a Masters in Interdisciplinary Healths!
I can safely say, I am this close to unleashing that Power!
Power to enhance the Carework Proffession.

When I was little we played the country game and I was always USA and everyone knew. I led people into chaos, shenanigans, fearless fights, hurricanes, and I got into my own troubles which I always found ways out of and blame either Canada for being too soft or Iran for just being there and disturbing the peace Iraq for being Chaotic. Afghanistan or all the other Tans were my secret best friends. India was were I go to charge my phone😂
Then I grew up went to America 😂😂😂😂 the reality stuck in me that I really was an aggressive Lunatic but hey what can you do when everyone looks up to you to make world go around, you can’t just be regular you got to be extraordinary!
Now settled in Canada and hoping people would have just called me Canada growing up could have went any other way!

The promises of life usually come to those who reach!

Please come raise your hand here if you knew what Cum Laude was before today. I saw it besides my name and I just thought ok whatever, Life goes on!!!

Sometimes it feels like no one is listening!
No one ever hears anyway even when they are listening!

A good run it is!

Someone once said that the things you worry about may or may not happen! So why worry about things which may or may not happen....

I had a dream that I intervened when a husband was physically abusing his wife. I helped the wife overpower the husband and we pushed him into a ditch and left him to die. We started walking along the way I talked with the wife who let me in on the Abused Women Syndrome. It is that fear women have to fight back, to stand up for themselves and even gather the courage to say enough is enough.
She told me 3 things:
It is easier to just stand for the abuse than fight back because it hurts more and his anger last longer when she fights back. She also said the fighting backfires as he will dwell on it leading to verbally abuses which are even worse than the physical abuse.
There is a whole network of abused women who strengthen each other. She told me about at least 4 women that without being told were abused would never guessed. Abuse has no character, even the most powerful and independent are abused.
Lastly, she too is stronger that he thinks. Her fear was that if she ever make the decision to do something it will kill him. She was just not ready for the outcome of her decision. A dilemma for many!
My response to her was very short as I was just dumbfounded! I told her to keep fighting back, pray hard after. On happy days talk to him about those things that triggers him to become the abuser. I reminded her that hurt people hurt people, assured he is going through something. I told her to remember her son and look at her son and be reminded that he will grow up to be his father. If the abuse doesn’t stop, he will learn that trait and inherit it. We do not want a cycle of violence.
I know the society says fight for your marriage! I too say fight for your marriage but be smart and know what you are fighting for.
The idea of a Marriage is very broad!
While we were talking, the husband shows up heavily bruised and limping with one arm appearing out of its socket. The wife looked like she didn’t recognize him until he entered their house. He called her to speak in private something she said it has never happened because rest assured if he had something to say he always shouted it across the room.
They had long conversation, but I didn’t excuse myself because I am nosy I wanted to know how it ended.
She said he told her that it took him all the courage to climb out of the ditch to reach surface, even longer to find his way home. But he was here now and he cried. He doesn’t know what it is that makes him want to abuse her but he will work on it to stop.
Then I woke up! The dream stuck with me, it’s so real!

A walk in the park is not even about walking😂 or the park!

I have been in a place where most people are trying hard to get out of if not worse!!
But!!!!
Because of where I am and what I have achieved, when I tell the story people believe it to be a fictional story!!
August 2023, I travelled to that place! Where it all started and it is safe to say that I am also doubting ever surviving such!😂

People go through a lot,
My ability to understand that stems from knowing what it feels like to be in a position you cant get out of.
The struggles we all go through, we share!

Put it in perspective for people, they will understand.
Even if they don’t understand, it is still satisfying to say I tried!

If anyone had told Six yr old me 40 years ago that in 2023 you would be graduating not with one degree but two and Honors… I would have laughed at them and called them a big liar who deserved to rot in a jail cell somewhere on an island where there is not even foot traffic!
I am a Social Scientist you all!

My advise to everyone is listen to the person inside you, the noise outside is just that NOISE!!!
