Hi everyone, the University of Toronto will be hosting a seminar on 'Cities by Design: Building and Governing Climate Resilient Cities' on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, from 3:00PM to 6:00 PM at the Myhal Centre (55 St. George Street, Toronto).

As part of a class project, I'm conducting a series of interviews to study transphobia and its effects in routine transportation decisions. I am seeking to connect with people who would be interested in being interviewed regarding their transportation habits and how/if transphobia factors into routine transportation decisions.

PARTICIPANTS NEEDED FOR RESEARCH IN TRANSPHOBIA AND TRANSPORTATION HABITS
Are you:
Transgender and/or non-binary?
Use services such as the TTC, Uber/Lyft, bike lanes or drive your own car?
If you answered yes to the above noted questions, you are invited to volunteer in this study that examines the role of transphobia when making decisions about routine transportation methods.
You will be asked to participate in a one hour, one-on-one interview.
Your participation will involve a single interview session, either in person or over the phone.
In appreciation of your time, you will be entered into a draw to win a $25 Starbucks gift card.

We are looking to hire a full-time York University undergraduate student who speaks Mandarin for a Winter 2019 RAY position with our project, Urbanization, Gender and the global south: a transformative knowledge network (GenUrb). *To be eligible for a RAY position, you must qualify for OSAP.
This student will be assisting us with some Mandarin to English translations. The ideal candidate will be meticulous, comfortable working within a feminist project, able to maintain confidentiality of the material, and be available to work in our office at the City Institute at York University's Keele campus.
This position is 10 hours/week from January 1, 2019 to April 30, 2019 and the rate of pay is $15/hr.
