Let's Discuss It Podcast
Let’s Discuss It is a podcast about these hard-learned experiences by having difficult conversatio
Well let's start off with saying it's great to give compliments! It helps brighten someones spirit and makes the person feel special. At least that's the goal. When we use compliments to uplift someone about their image, it's a tricky one to navigate. Image is what we see, so it's easy for us to make an assumption (media, social norms, etc.) based on our visual cues. BUT like most of us know, there is always something about our image we have some insecurities about. I don't know about you, but when my insecurities have a spotlight put on them, my spirit is definitely not going to be lifted and I'm most likely not going to feel special in a good way.
This is why complimenting someone on the way they look can have harmful consequences. I know I'm not out there showcasing my insecurities... So how could you possibly know if my size might be one of them?
And here we are just trying to give a compliment, right? So what's a good alternative?
Gotta check out the podcast tomorrow to find out 😜
Here's a fabulous quote done up by aka 🙂 I appreciate it because sometimes it's hard to remember, especially during a pandemic, and when we aren't doing all the things we used to do to stay active. But that doesn't mean you can't love yourself just as much. So let me make it very clear.
You are loved and deserve all the love you recieve.💖

Let's Discuss It Podcast is back up and ready to start this adventure! After starting the show rather quickly in September, I needed to take a step back and do some reorganizing. In the past month I've created a website, the facebook community and got a twitter account. This way you can have multiple platforms to be able to participate in the show. Check out the website www.letsdiscussit.ca & follow us on twitter & instagram .
I want you to ask questions about the topics, share your own experiences and ultimately learn through the voices of others.
We are long overdue to open up these boxes and truthfully investigate each others views. Let's drop the ego, put in the headphones, and let's get uncomfortable.
Get ready friends! I have some surprises in the works that include new episodes, a fabulous website and a new community vibe. Stay tuned... November's going to be a fun one.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
