It's a very sad day in the Toronto music community. One of the great supporters and amazing people, Deborah Daigle passed away. We send our deep condolences to everyone in Deborah's family and to all of her friends who are deeply affected by this great loss. You will be missed. RIP

One of our favourite Tribute bands returns to the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) this Friday November 8th! The Spiral Theory is one of the most unique tribute band's out there focusing on three of the greatest bands over the last 50 years - The Police, U2, and R.E.M. Also, their sets for the evening will include equally energetic covers from other influential rockers (The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, The Strokes, The Black Keys, and the likes of 'em) who followed the above pioneers of modern rock. They also cleverly sandwich a few classic Canadian covers (of Rush, Hip, and Bryan Adams) in between their sets. Friday November 1st the Ultimate Cover Band, Horshack returns to the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) and there are a lot of people pumped up for this one! This band has quickly become our favourite band as the ten shows that they have played at the Linsmore, were EPIC! With an ALL-STAR line-up with some of our country’s best musicians, you are going to hear some very difficult covers that you don’t usually hear from a cover band! The boys roll back the calender to the 70’s (mostly), and will absolutely go all out till late at the Linsmore. Horshack covers some popular and at times very difficult material from Boston, Pink Floyd, and Led Zepplin to some classic rockers from Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Talking Heads, and Tom Petty! Tuesday October 29th, is a special Halloween Edition of Indie Tuesdays and we couldn't think of a better band to headline the show than Lon Chaney Movie! Lon Chaney Movie is Indie, meet Prog. An almost familiar sound that will sometimes blast its way into your ears with visions of Jane’s Addiction, Sabbath or Zeppelin before bringing you back from the edge with warm guitar riffs. A fresh take on disciplined indie rock with a pedigree of Prog and dare I say Punk? Gary, Neil and Enrico are always worth a listen. Also performing on this evening is Smudgie whose music is signed to multiple libraries and has been placed on Major League Baseball and TV shows around the world as well as having been played on terrestrial radio. Her sound has been compared to a wide range of artists from Joni Mitchell to Blondie to Cat Power. We also have a great 4 piece band out of Toronto, The Hidden Meaning, who has a unique sound that has been described as "Cool...Evocative...Like Leonard Cohen went for a walk in Westworld."

The show starts at 7:30pm and as always there is NO COVER. Join us for a great night and awesome local music.

Sunday October 27th, it's the 4th Sunday of the month, which means that Blues Hall of Fame member Frank Cosentino is live at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave), with his band! Frank Consentino is a Blues Guitar Virtuoso who was also inducted into The Blues Hall of Fame in 2017! Franks has been touring the world for more than 30 years performing blues music and to be a Master Blues Artist, you have to have some serious chops. Influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the 3 Kings (Freddie King, Albert King, B B King), you will absolutely love Franks guitar driven blues!
