1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣‼️ This student and I just had our 100th class together!!! We chose a fun virtual background in honour of the occasion ;) It has been such a pleasure helping this student grow as a performer over the last couple of years. I’m so proud of her and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this young singer! 🥳

Check out this lil snapshot from my recent gig performing at the art fair with ! It was such a pleasure getting to sing some of my favourite songs 🥰
Here are some of the steps I had to take to prepare/take care of myself for this performance:
✨Develop a repertoire appropriate for the event
✨Put together a binder full of material with labels and music in the right key for me!
✨Practice, practice, practice!!!
✨Warm-up before each performance
✨Drink plenty of water! (Especially when performing outside in the sun! 🥵)
✨Project my voice, without pushing it too much so that it can remain healthy and last throughout the performance (the struggles of performing without a mic 🫠)
✨Take breaks! I had to remind myself not to just power through!

It’s a big day over here at .voice !! I have officially hit 500 students on , where I have been teaching virtually for over two years now. This milestone is HUGE for me because most of my students are one-on-one. It has been such a joy watching my students grow as performers, while also experiencing so much growth myself as an educator.
