The exposed side of this peninsula was covered in 13"x13" tile. Still is! Now it's covered with 3/8" A-grade plywood, including trim, sanded, primed, and painted to bring it all together with the other rooms and the new flooring. Thinking about dressing things up? Give me a call!

Cold weather arrives next week - time to prepare your home if you haven't done so yet. If there's an issue with pipes freezing in your home and the problem hasn't been or cannot be resolved, remember to leave the water trickle just a bit from your faucets. Looks like the cold stretch is going to last at least a week or more.

Always check your appliances! We did a drywall replace/repair this week due to the water supply line on this Frigidaire Gallery fridge springing a slow leak. It actually iced itself onto the wall and did some damage to the fridge as well. It's always good to give all of your appliances a quick look, a few times a year, just to make sure they're in good working order!

So it's been a pretty rocky few months. Without going into gory details, I'll say that 2024 is going to be a year of big changes and adjustments. I'm now finding myself reinventing the wheel for the business, and it hasn't been easy. However, I've always figured out a way to make things work, and I do have some direction. Starting now, I'll be focusing on two things...
First, I'm scaling back on the size of the jobs I'm doing, and will be moving into the smaller projects, similar to the way things started years ago. Without consistant and reliable help, I cannot do the larger jobs by myself that I have come to enjoy, and be proud of doing. I will be working on the smaller, maintenance type of projects to keep your home functioning like it should.
Secondly, I've added a laser engraver to my arsenal of tools! The laser is a powerful tool, and it can make some pretty amazing things. This also will allow me to get back to my creative side. Eventually, I will be using the laser in a commercial/business-to-business application. For now however, I will be using it to supplement the income of the smaller home projects. I've created a sub-company, and will be inviting all of you to check out some of our projects (my awesome wife has taken quite an interest in this as well)!
I'm fully confident that I can help you with your home needs, so don't hesitate to message me with questions and projects! Keep an eye out for the coming excitement of our laser projects as well - it won't be long. I expect to make an announcement about that in another week or so. Time machine travels! This is a awesome window seat I did many years ago. It was solid oak and stain matched to the surrounding trim. It has a top that opens for storage in the center. Message me if you would like this in your home - it would be great to do another one!

By taking out this older corner bookcase, we were able to reframe this non load bearing opening and pick up over 4 feet in width! Wow what a difference! With mimicking the box trim, it looks like it was supposed to be that way all along. Want to see if this is an option in your home? Pm me for an evaluation!

With the exception of a few items on back order, this kitchen project is mostly complete, and we think it turned out awesome! This project features two glass door cabinets flanking the cooktop hood with interior led lighting, a large bank of pantry cabinets, a food prep sink on this island, two piece crown molding, and herringbone backsplash tile. An interior wall between the old kitchen and dining room was eliminated to make this into one large open space. This project was designed by Patrick at KSI Kitchens and Baths in Toledo, Ohio. We are just a few weeks away from finishing this awesome kitchen in Perrysburg, Ohio. This kitchen features an expanded space with herringbone backsplash, a peninsula and island both, and more. Watch for the finished pictures shortly!

So we recently did a poll about how long it takes to complete a kitchen project, from designing all the way to completion. In reality, your project can potentially take 6-12 months, if you're starting from scratch! From the time we start physically swinging a hammer to the final touches can be 6-8 weeks, baring material shortages, unintended delays, surprises, and more. Six weeks almost to the day, and we have completed this kitchen (with the exception of door/drawer hardware that is yet to arrive)! This kitchen features a farmhouse sink, a drawer microwave, two-piece crown, new flooring, new trim, 4 floating shelves, and an 8' island with pendents. Money well spent! Another kitchen complete! This kitchen in Holland, Ohio features a stone backsplash, multi-layered crown molding, and a farmhouse sink. We were able to complete this project in 5 1/2 weeks! Our most recent project was a bathroom renovation. We took out a non-load bearing wall to an adjoining closet to make a larger space. Features of this bath are a curbless shower with a corner bench, a double niche, double sink setup, and porcelain tile throughout. This year's batch of flag boxes is finished and ready to be delivered! These display boxes are for burial flags, and therefore do not have flags inside of them ready to go. The flags will be inserted by the family members of the fallen. Mission complete.
