Great news friends, has spoken out against the proposed fee increases to boulevard marketing permits and patios. 👍Many thanks to all of you who chimed in with reason. 🙏 Let's be vigilant and ensure that this issue is dealt with properly in April, but it seems clear that reason will prevail. 👍Here are some of his words spoken to : “I woke up this morning and heard about this on the radio and thought I was having a nightmare. It was the first I had heard of it and I can just tell you that they are consulting and they are getting a lot of negative feedback and I agree with it,” Tory told reporters on Thursday. “I am not going to be the leader who attacks fun in this city; I can assure you of that. Patios are a hugely important part of my life. I sit outside as soon as I possibly can in April or March if that’s possible. I think it is an important part of keeping neighbourhoods lively.” 👍 See you all on the patios of this summer! ✌️ #4️⃣1️⃣6️⃣ www.KensingtonMarketBIA.com
Excellent!

Write your councillor if you enjoy sitting on patios in the warmer weather friends.
Toronto patios face steep fee hikes under city staff proposals | Toronto Star City licensing staff insist nothing has been decided and the proposed fee hikes for patio serving alcohol of, in some cases, more than 1,000 per cent for the use of public property, are part of a broader review aimed at harmonizing sidewalk café and sidewalk marketing display bylaws across the city.
