Project Milestone: Construction of Parliament & Co has reached the top floor!

This 11-storey mixed-use rental office building includes 6,235m² of office space plus 337m² of retail at grade, along with 15 live-work units on the upper floors. Once completed, Parliament & Co will stand at a height of 41.45m.

Project Spotlight: Located in Toronto’s revitalizing West Hill neighbourhood, East Pointe adds to the community 105 condo units w/ a wide selection of amenities.

The project's common areas were designed to bring a sense of continuity between the mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, & include a party room, an outdoor pet area, a fitness centre, a co-working space, and a pair of outdoor terraces on the ground and fifth floors, both offering cooking and lounge areas.

Over the rooftops and trees of that neighbourhood, East Pointe residents will have clear views south to Lake Ontario.

Here are some of the photos taken during our latest site visit of Zibi Common (Block 206).

A 25-storey residential tower, which is part of the city's world-class sustainable community, is made up of a combination of co-living, affordable and luxury rental units, and offers about 2,200 units straddling Ottawa and Gatineau.

The building has been cleared for occupancy and is already welcoming residents!

One of them is a rooftop terrace on its 6th level, which features gas barbecues, loungers, and pavilion with cabana, bar, and seating.

Industrial chic meets modern loft in the newest development in Toronto’s historic Corktown neighbourhood.

Located at the crossroads of Parliament and Queen Streets, Parliament & Co is the newest mixed-use development, designed to offer warehouse-style live-work lofts for creative business owners and freelancers who seek space for both.

The building includes 3,000 square feet of retail at grade, open concept commercial lofts on levels two to five and live-work lofts on levels six to 10.

Currently under construction and scheduled for completion at the end of 2024!

Project Spotlight: 2110 Keele Street is a 3-storey stacked townhouse building with a total of 9 family-sized rental units.

The development boasts an eco-friendly design that is 100% electric, incorporates sustainable technologies and promotes biodiversity through enhanced landscaping conditions.

The project is being developed by Well Grounded Real Estate.

The 48 fully furnished co-living units located on floors two to eight include three to five bedrooms, which are rented out individually, as well as shared kitchen and living room space within one suite.

Project Update: We're pleased to share that the work at the Kingsley Square site is proceeding according to the schedule!

The construction team is currently pouring the ground floor concrete slabs and has begun constructing the forms for level 2.

All parking slabs are complete, and plumbing, mechanical, and electrical provisions are in progress.

Get a sneak peek inside one of the newly-designed townhouses located at the corner of Danforth Avenue and Danforth Road in Toronto!

The Towns on Danforth project features a total of 116 units, which will be a combination of ground units, bungalow units and two-storey upper units.

The units will range from 749 to 1,012 square feet and include walkout patios, balconies or rooftop terraces.

Project Update: The construction of our EverHome project is well underway.

Most of the below grade parking garage structure is now complete, and the construction team has started laying masonry block at the P3 parking level. The below grade ducting, plumbing, and sprinkler services are continuing to progress.

Our team had the pleasure of hosting the students from Cawthra Park Secondary School’s Architectural Technology class at the Kohn office in downtown Toronto!

Our Partner Andrew Muffitt and Senior Associate Andrea Nagy gave a presentation on Kohn & its projects, and shared some tips for what to expect if they choose to pursue a career in the architectural industry.

The students got to test their skills and took part in a unit layout activity where they had about 30 minutes to organize an 800sf 2-bedroom unit plan, using a template and guidelines we had prepared for them.

Our team made sure to provide “critiques” of their layouts based on our typical approach to unit design.

A soon-to-be 11-storey residential building, East Pointe will bring 105 condo units together with a selection of amenities — a fitness centre, party room, a co-working space, boardroom, and an outdoor grilling/cooking area — to Toronto’s West Hill neighbourhood.

Project Milestone: We're excited to share that we have cleared Zibi Common (Block 206) for occupancy up to the 17th floor, and residents are moving in!

A 25-storey residential tower, Common is made up of a combination of co-living units operated by Common Living, affordable units managed by Ottawa Community Housing Corporation (OCH) and luxury market-rate rental suites.

Did you know that the Zibi site used to be home to The E. B. Eddy Company, a pulp & paper mill and one of the area's most prominent industrial sites?

Our team managed to preserve the medallion from the floor at the entry to the main office, and have had it cleaned up to be installed on the face of the building facing into the square. See a sneak peek below ⬇
