It is with mixed sadness and gratitude; we announce the end of an era. After 37 years, we have decided to cease operation and close our business.

There is an auction where the remainder of the stock will be sold. It’s live now, running until February 15th.

https://maxsold.maxsold.com/auction/79808/bidgallery/

We started as a small retail location in 1985, Homegrown grew into a trusted family run company supplying the entire indoor horticulture market.

We extend a huge debt of gratitude to our customers and suppliers over the years. Without whom we could never have thrived for 37 great years. We wish you all great success in the future and look forward to seeing you again.

The trusted and well-known brand of Dutch Nutrient will continue to be available through All Grow Garden and Distribution and wholesale & retail inquires can be made to continue to use this amazing brand of products.

All Grow has quickly proved they are well positioned to supply the market with growing mediums, nutrients and equipment needed to take your next gardening project to complete success. We are proud to support All Grow as they take on the next era of indoor gardening in North America.

Please take care and thank you for all your support.

Customer question: Ask Alex.

Thanks for the question and pics. From the looks of it you are in the harvest window but not fully ready to harvest.

This can be a confusing topic for beginners. This can sometimes come down to personal preference but harvesting cannabis at the right time is all about allowing the trichomes (tiny crystal looking structures) on the buds to reach maturity which will allow for peak cannabinoid potency.

It's not really about looking for the hairs to darken, bud hardness, or bud or leaf colour although they are good clues, but looking at the tiny trichomes to look at their ripeness.

The best way to tell is to use a magnifying glass to look at the trichomes and see if they have turned from clear to milky. This will ensure you have reached maturity. As the trichomes mature, they go from clear to milky, to amber colour. The amber colour is from the break down of cannabinoid and can indicate the bud is getting more sedative or what is called stony.

It can be hard to tell clear from milky, but with magnifying glass of 60x it gets very easy to see. We sell ones that attach to the phone for ready viewing and you can take pics to show your friends and husband as it changes.

With all that said, your buds look close. I can't tell from the pics but all the hairs have turned colour from their original white, they have started to curl which means you have entered the harvest window. This is a one to two week period that you would harvest. You can still get big changes in the bud during this time. Too early and you can loose potency and flavor, and make the bud stay a little green tasting. It can also be a bit racy, meaning it can be too stimulating for those senato sensitive to sativa type pot. Too late and the bud can start to brown, and be stony. These effects are subtle but do occur. I suggest taking a closer look at those trichs and deciding when the river is right. Are those auto flowers? It's quite early in the season for photo period plants.

Good luck! @ Homegrown Hydroponics Inc.

For many people who use cannabis for medical reasons growing 4 plants just isn't enough. In order for most patients to use cannabis to it's full medicinal potential often times large quantities of cannabis are required. Some patients need access to large amounts of fresh raw cannabis buds & leaves for juicing daily. Others use large amounts of cannabis to make medicated topical creams, salves & ointments. Making your own quality oils, edibles, rosin, etc. also requires a good amount of dried & cured cannabis. For someone who intends to utilize all of these beneficial methods then becoming a legal medical cannabis patient is definitely right for you.

After obtaining a license to legally grow more than 4 plants the next step will be learning how to actually grow, make & use the cannabis effectively in any of the previously mentioned ways, other than the conventional smoking of the plant. At Phytomedical we provide everything you will need for each step along your journey to natural health and bringing your mental, physical, emotional & spiritual states back into homeostasis. With an emphasis on follow up patient support & education the professionals & are sure to provide the mature stigma-free community outlet to learn, grow & heal that many long time users & also those new or returning to cannabis use are looking for.
