On the eve of our Hydrating Lip Oil launch, I introduce to you our third and final flavour, “Chilled Rosé (All Day)”. It has a gentle, peppermint vanilla flavour and is shimmery sheer on the lips so you can literally wear it anytime, anywhere.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Today I’m thankful for a lot of things but it’s m h highlighting this smoky apple cider margarita by the . If you’re a fan of cozy cocktails, you should definitely try. The star ingredient for me is Mezcal, a smoky tequila that I’ve been obsessed with since I discovered the smoky Negroni a couple of years ago. Top it off with an apple slice and a smoking cinnamon stick 😋. It’s cozy, it’s comforting and it was a great precursor to our Makmoura, a middle-eastern spiced chicken and onion pie.

It’s crazy to think that we’ve been in Toronto for 4 months. For a long time I felt like I was on an extended visit but I’m finally starting to feel like it’s my home now. Though I badly miss the familiarity and the community that was Regina, I’m also loving the newness and anonymity that this ginormous city offers. I could literally do cartwheels🤸‍♂️down the street and nobody would give a s**t…though I’m not quite there yet (as if I could do a cartwheel 😆).

SkinWishes has been popping up at different markets around the city and, at the end of October, we will be in a new pop-up shop called for the holiday season. Not gonna lie, sliding into the market here is daunting. In a city where literally everything is at your fingertips, it’s challenging because at a glance SkinWishes is just another skincare brand (there literally hundreds of them here). So that’s what I’m working on…showing the people of Toronto what makes SkinWishes worth taking a chance on.

Sometimes these two tolerate each other. Sometimes they hiss, spit and scream at each other. Today they choose snuggles. 💕

Some people think of October as spooky season but it’s always been the start of bath season for me! I’m not a fan of taking baths in the Summer. I like a slight chill in the air so I can get cozy and spend the evening in a steamy tub. And I mean steamy. Like, so hot you have to ease yourself into the water slowly, one body part at a time. Is that great for my skin? Not at all. But I do so many other wonderful things for my skin that I’m giving myself this one 😜
