About Us

Dress Rental Magic. The Fitzroy carries an elevated, highly curated collection of brand new designer dream dresses, jumpsuits and handbags, sourced and selected from all over the world by our founders Angela & Julie and made available for women to rent for any occasion where they need to get fancy. No appointment needed (yes really, no appointment!)

Fitzroy offers a welcoming, inclusive and non-judgmental space where women can come whenever it's convenient for them, try on as many dresses as they want with the help of our amazing stylists and either walk out with a dress that day or reserve one (or two, or more!) for use at a later date. Dresses can also be booked online, with easy two-way shipping Canada wide.

Our mission at The Fitzroy is simple: to take the stress out of the getting ready process and to make sure you look and feel your best at your next big event, without having to buy yet another one-time-wear item that will then sit in your closet collecting dust.

Our aim is to give Canadian women access to more variety at a lower price point, while injecting a bit of magic into their life by providing that "Cinderella moment".

We're here to help and advise you, offer suggestions, give our honest feedback and generally make the styling process as easy and painless as possible. We curate and import a collection of drool-worthy pieces from those it-girl brands you are dying to wear but maybe don't always want to invest in, and we take care of the cleaning as well so all you have to do is rock the piece and bring it back.

At the end of the day we want you to come in, play dress up, have a blast and feel like you got to borrow an amazing piece from the closet of your most stylish friend. At the same time you can feel good about yourself for making the more sustainable choice, slowing the cycle of needless over consumption that the fashion industry thrives on and participating in the sharing economy. *dusts shoulders off*

At The Fitzroy we dress women for any and all events, from birthday parties and chill backyard weddings to black tie affairs and red carpet galas, and our goal is to make every woman feel like Beyoncé....if that's what they want.
