🪵🔥Choose Sustainable Fuel: opt for sustainable fuel options such as properly seasoned wood or eco-friendly fireplace logs made from recycled materials. Avoid burning treated or painted wood, as it can release harmful chemicals into the air.

🔌💡Upgrade to an EPA certified insert: They are designed to maximize heat output while minimizing energy waste and emissions resulting in reduced environmental impact. Don't forget about the Biomass tax credit that goes with it!

💨🛠Maintain Proper Ventilation: Ensure that your fireplace is properly ventilated to promote efficient burning and reduce the release of pollutants. Make sure there aren't any air leaks (damaged gaskets, cracks in chimney/flue, broken damper, etc)
