Busy property management company located in Toronto, Ontario at 800 King St W looking for a full time Leasing Assistant. The role will report to the Leasing Manager and will be responsible for delivering a professional experience to renters and Landlords. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong relationship building skills and a passion for customer service. This role will be responsible for providing leasing, move-in / move-out (and related inspection) and to the day-to-day administration required to Tenants and Landlords. This involves answering phone calls, responding to emails, showing up at appointments to show available units to tenants, addressing advertisement questions, co-ordinate move in and moves outs with tenants, lease signings with tenants, tenant relations/communications, filing, order office supplies, co-ordinating tasks with our inside sales associate and office administrator, and other tasks as requested by management.
We are looking for someone who is available to work Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays, plus two evenings per week .
Able to work independently and alone.
Approx daily hours would be: 11:00 a.m. β 7:00 p.m.
Knowledge of Yardi or other property management program is an asset but not a requirement.
Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of product/rental units, including availability of suite types and layouts, common areas and amenities of the building, surrounding neighborhood and value-added services provided.
Professionally and courteously handle all telephone and βwalk-inβ inquires
Maintaining good resident relations, handling and documenting resident complaints and any emergencies in the building which occur during, over and above office hours.
Rectify any resident issues that may arise and escalate as required.
Maintain an orderly office area.
Other related duties as required, such duties may include lifting of office supplies.
Must have a valid G class driver's license with a clean driving record. Available to start immediately.
EXPERIENCE:
Property Management: 1 year (preferred)
A College or University education in a retail, hospitality or real estate field would be considered an asset.
Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and Residential Lease Agreements an asset
Attention to detail and accuracy, Good judgment, Communication skills (listening, verbal and written), Initiative and creativity, Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills; ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with prospects, residents and internal staff.
ORGANIZATIONAL/MULTI-TASKING SKILLS
Ability to allocate oneβs time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines; ability to achieve quality results; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes; ability to use initiative and self-managing skills to work independently with minimal direction and respond effectively to issues that arise.
Computer Skills β Skills in Excel, Word, Outlook; familiarity with Yardi or other customer relationship management (CRM) system is an asset.
Police Clearance β A criminal verification check is required for employment.
