Just a Merc with a mouth, out to make the world a better place... one cosplay at a time...
I’ll be in Niagara Falls this weekend working this booth at the Niagara Falls 420 show. If you’re going to be at the show, come check out Jerry Garcia’s last ride.
So many things to see this year like the Last Ride of Jerry Garcia at the 420 Expo, sponsored by The Niagara Herbalist. Only TWO weeks away! This car was used in a private ceremony held for this music legend as he went out in style in this Gold Cadillac! Tickets available at www.niagarafalls420expo.com
Had a great time at Yorkgate Mall for comicon!
Prepare for lift off!
For this week’s I’m taking to the unknown regions of outer space on the Astro Orbiter!
I’ve actually only been on this ride a few times because the lines usually deter me and I end up on the People Mover or in Carousel of Progress. But I do love going on this one.
Is this a ride you pass by or do you brave the lines to take that journey into space?
Thank you and credit goes to for the weekly challenge!

⚠️SCAM WARNING⚠️
This has popped up a number of times and I’ve known about it, so when I got this message from a non follower, I played along to see where it would lead.
If you ever get a message in this “muse scam” format, report and block these people!!! Don’t take any chances.
As y’all know, my account is private, so having someone interested in using me for an art project based on my profile icon of a dog is highly suspicious.
They followed the scammer chain of events perfectly.
1) Get you interested with the promise of cash (usually around $2,500) for doing nothing. (Being their muse)
2) Promise you that you don’t need to give personal info or send money.
3) Gain your trust.
4) Try to get you to deposit money as proof of acceptance of this unbelievable offer. Their reason is proof of compensation so you can’t sue them for using your images without consent.
*if it’s too good to be true, it usually is*
So, what happens when you accept the “cheque” and deposit it?
They will ask you to pay a portion to “the artist” for art supplies (usually $500).
You won’t find out this was a scam till the “cheque” you deposited bounces and you’re having to pay back the fake money that was deposited, plus any fees the bank wants to throw on as well.
The scammer is long gone with your $500 and there is no way to find them.
Things to look for right away:
They follow little to no people. They were following me and Instagram and just recently unfollowed me.
Their “followers” were all fake accounts. All the accounts were created around the same time; all had under 15 posts; all following around the same amount of accounts as all the rest; the fake accounts posts had no likes or comments.
These were all red flags.
Often times also, the email from the scammer will contain a file that has malware. They will hack your computer. This is why I say report and block.
Please be aware of unbelievable “deals”.
Always be suspicious.
If you can, investigate.
Google is a first stop for me when I see any thing that seems too good.
Don’t get scammed.
Time for another !
Happy Valentine’s Day as well everyone!
For this week, I’m heading to the Mexico pavilion in World Showcase. One of my must do’s in Mexico is the Gran Fiesta Tour, featuring the Three Caballeros.
Is this a ride a yay or nay for you?
Oh and it’s also !
Thank you to for the weekly B&W challenge!
Happy Friday everyone!
Here’s what I saw this morning from my garage at work.
It was a VERY welcome sight. It really makes me feel energized.
And the temperature was so spring like that I felt like I should be in shorts and a tee!
The weather this winter has been incredibly unseasonal. Not that I’m complaining. I prefer sunshine and plus number temps.
Makes me wonder what spring and summer will be like….
What’s your preferred season? Let me know!
Another week has gone by again and it’s time again for !
And since it’s the month of L❤️VE, I thought I would go back to our 2019 family trip. It was also our 25th wedding anniversary. We were able to snag this loving pic with no one around us.
Have you spent a special occasion in one of the Disney parks?
Thank you to for keeping the weekly fun alive!!
So I FINALLY got out with my Sony A6500 on the weekend!
It was only for a couple of hours, but I was able to find some half decent running water in the creek so I could test out my ND filters.
If you saw my last sunrise post, you know I love the smoothing effect that comes with a longer exposure.
I used an ND filter of 10 with a shutter speed of 1/5th of a second.
I was having some issues because I’m no expert on this Sony yet. But for the very first attempt at using an ND filter, I was happy with what I captured!
These are only a few of the shots I got. I transferred them to my phone so I could post. There’s a larger waterfall I shot at, but they are still on the camera.
Now that I have the basics down, I’ll work on perfecting the light and also settings.
Friday morning I noticed the sun was coming up, so I went outside to see what the sunrise was like. I noticed it was a little windy which was moving the clouds. I was able to adjust the shutter on my phone’s camera and capture these images.
The first one is using the automatic settings of the camera. The next bunch of captures are using a slower shutter speed app. The effect leaves the clouds looking smooth.
I love how these turned out.
Shortly after I took these, the day turned really grey, so I’m really glad I took the few minutes to snap these!
Wishing my wee boy a very Happy 24th Birthday!! w.lyn is the reason I started cosplay. He has become an incredible prop and costume maker. His photography skills always amaze me. I’m proud to call you my son and I always look forward to your next adventure!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PALLY!!
So I was very happy to see a nice red glow coming through the frosted windows on the garage door at work Wednesday morning!
I rushed upstairs to the break room to get an elevated view of these gorgeous colours!
It’s been so grey and draining out lately, so this was a VERY welcome sight!
Happy all!!
Huge thank you again to for bringing us such a fun weekly challenge!!
A bit of a throwback to our first UK trip.
It had been raining and had all but stopped. We were walking down a side street in London when I saw the phone boxes ahead of us. I love the old phone boxes and decided to use the in camera red only filter in my Sony DSLR. I quickly changed my settings, lifted my camera, framed up the phone boxes and took my shot.
It wasn’t until we got back to our relative’s home that evening and was reviewing my captures from that day that I realized I’d inadvertently captured a lady walking through my frame with one of the I ❤️ London umbrellas.
I had been so focused on the phone boxes that I didn’t even see her. But boy did I luck out on this one!
Now here’s a real throwback!
This little gem came from the Hercules Mall tours that happened just before the movie premiered in theatres.
I opened this, but I don’t think I ever played it. It’s just one song, so there’s only so much I wanted to listen to it.
I remember on this mall tour, they had all sorts of things families could interact with. They brought in Disney animators to do drawing seminars. Everyone got these promotional tapes.
They brought everything in these huge transport trucks that were wrapped in Hercules art.
We even wore tees to promote the movie. It was a lot of fun!
I really miss those days of the Disney Store. They really made things like theatrical releases of animated features special.
Throwback post!
This one goes back to my days as a Cast Member at store #654 in Mississauga.
The Tigger Movie was being promoted and we were all given these neat buttons to wear on our costumes.
These buttons weren’t just plain old buttons. If you poked Tigger, the button makes a boinging noise! The best part is that the batteries can be replaced! So forever I’ll be able to boing my way through the day!
I mean, it’s true….
In a distant past, this was our only mobile phone. So for this week’s I broke out of the Disney format and found one of the last phone booths in my area. Back in the day, these booths would have a folding door to close for a bit of privacy. They’d also have a phone book attached so you could look up a phone number. Some had white pages and yellow pages books.
To be honest, I’m not sure if this one is still operational. I will look at it closely next time I walk by it.
Maybe I’ll call my cell phone, just for old times sake!
Do you see many public phone booths anymore where you are? My UK followers still have working phone boxes.
Huge shoutout to for this weekly challenge!
Saw this and had to post it!
😂😂😂😂
Looks as good as the ride at Universal Florida!
Posting late, but still in time for . Heading into Toy Story Land for a spin on the Alien Swirling Saucers!
I kinda like this ride. Although I do with it was a bit longer.
Is this a yay or nah ride for you?
Thank you to for bringing us such a fun challenge to do each week!
HAPPY ELEMENTAL BIRTHDAY SARAH!!!
Hey y’all! It’s ‘s birthday and she chose Elemental as the theme!
I’ve picked Earth!
It’s the perfect time to bring out my cosplay of someone that is so down to earth that he sleeps in it! Mole!
This throwback is to when I was putting together my Mole cosplay from Disney’s Atlantis.
So Sarah, my gift to you is the joy of seeing me as Mole and my son as Milo! You’re welcome! 😉
So not sure if this a new scam that low life’s are trying or if I just haven’t seen this one before.
I got this text today.
So a couple things that makes this an obvious scam:
1) the parking control don’t sent out texts. If you don’t pay a parking fine, they won’t chase after you.
2) parking control would have no way to know my cell number! 😂
I know there are people out there that might fall for this, but I find it funny how bad these scams are.
Please be vigilant when receiving correspondences that you don’t know the sender. Too many scammers want to fleece vulnerable people.
Happy everyone!
I decided this week to add shots that I took outside of Cosmic Rewind back in December of ‘22.
You can see the beautiful Spaceship Earth in the background and it was one of the rare times I actually captured the Monorail gliding through my frame!
Swipe to see the monorail pass by.
For the last frame, I did some in app editing and made Spaceship Earth the focal point, just for fun. Was it worth the 40 seconds it took me to edit it?

Happy Wednesday all!!
I missed last week, but I’m back at it for this week’s ! Brought to you by !
This week I take you deep inside the jungles of Congo River Golf in Orlando. The year, 2022.
I discovered the wreckage of this small plane somewhere near the 7th hole.
Sadly there were no survivors in the wreckage, so we kept playing.
Have you ever been to this mini golf attraction? They have live gators you can feed and even hold! Probably the best themed mini golf place I’ve been to.

So not the most magnificent sunrise I’ve captured, but I saw this one this morning and had to share.
Welcome to 2024 everyone! I hope you all had a safe and festive holiday season surrounded by family and/or friends.
I sit this morning, sipping my hot chocolate with marshmallows and whipped cream and reflect on 2023.
It was a year of ups and downs. Losses and gains.
I lost some people I THOUGHT were friends, but I gained so many more amazing Disney adult friends.
Most recently, I lost our beloved fur baby, Melody, which cut me deeply, but I realized it was for the best as she had lymphoma and was suffering.
I cut back on the amount of comicons I attended, but was featured by more, which I was so blessed for!
I shifted my focus from cosplay to my deeper love, Disney.
I drifted from my love of photography, but thanks to accounts like , and others, I’m trying to bring back my photography passion.
My camera has been dusty too long.
So it seems 2023 was my metamorphosis year.
Is 2024 the “new year, new me”?
No.
It’s the year of focus.
Focusing on what makes me happy, the things that haven’t necessarily been put forward.
Thank you to all whom have stuck around my ups and downs. I truly appreciate you!
All the best in 2024!
.
Happy everyone!
And happy New Year’s Eve to you as well!!
It hasn’t been a stellar year for me, but I think I made the best of what I was dealt.
One of the top things that came out of 2023 is getting to know all the new Disney friends I’ve met on here!
You all have brought such magic into my life and I love you all for it! And although a Disney trip wasn’t in the cards, I was able to live though all of your posts and stories!
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!
I wish you all a safe and prosperous 2024!

Happy final of 2023 everyone!!! I’ve been saving one of my favourite things in Hollywood Studios. The Roger Rabbit billboard. This is a left over from when they had the Roger Rabbit area in MGM Studios. I loved that area and I was incredibly sad when it was removed. I was happy they kept the billboard though!
Did you ever get to see the Roger Rabbit area when it was MGM Studios?

I really can’t thank enough for keeping the b&w challenge going. It’s really given me motivation to post more! So THANK YOU!!

Here comes Santa Claus!
No not me silly! I’m just a misrepresentation of the fat guy with a red sack.
I hope everyone gets what they hoped for, because I know y’all have been good!
Remember to leave the milk and cookies out!
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!
ONE MORE SLEEP!!!
Since tomorrow is Christmas Day, I thought I’d take this time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
9I hope you all have a fantastic December 25th!
I don’t have a fun Disney inspired family photo, so instead, enjoy some fun and festive pics I took during our December 2022 trip!
From my family to yours, have a safe and happy holiday season!
Happy everyone!!
When I saw ’s contribution, I knew which photo I had to include! I really love all the retro decorations! Yes, even the creepy ladies. 😂 Sadly these are the only ones I took photos of. Guess that means I need to go back to take more pics!
The last one, well that’s just because of how much I miss that area and I love the sign!
So it’s the final before Christmas, so I thought I’d finally add my contribution. Better late than never afterall!
I’d like to thank for bringing us Disney adults such a fun event to be a part of!
I loved these ridiculously large ornaments in Toy Story Land. They were so fun! I wanted them on my lawn.
Swipe for some festive Perry the Santapus pics!
