Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) are the most common cause of non-dental orofacial pain. In January 2024, we ran a 2-day TMD course presented by Dr. Iacopo Cioffi, Dr. Bruce Freeman, and Dr. Sid Lisser for general practitioners and dental specialists with the most updated evidence-based information about diagnosis and management of TMD. We will be running this course again in Fall 2024!

What is the relationship between oral hygiene and stroke?

A recent study found that in patients with recent stroke/transient ischemic attack and PD, there was not much difference between the outcome of intensive PD treatment and standard PD treatment in the prevention of stroke/myocardial infraction/death. Both treatments were found to result in overall improvements.
