Cooking a lot of food is an obvious part of what we do, but how we get all that food to our clients is a highly complex operation that takes many critical team members to execute. Meet Mike, an AM Pack Team Member who’s been with us since 2017!
Each morning, he’s helping us ensure the produce we use is meeting our quality standards and what gets packed to go out the door to our clients is ready for a smooth launch. Besides being a great team member, his cosplay talents never cease to amaze us (his Halloween game is amazing), and his enthusiasm is infectious. The major shifts in employment culture over the last couple of years have been challenging to navigate, and it continues to evolve as we all try to settle into what our ‘new normal’ will be. Last April, we brought on a co-op student to help support our HR Department, and she was such an impressive addition to the team that by August, we hired her full-time! Meet Amanda, our HR Coordinator who’s been helping us build our phenomenal team, and continues to be a great example of the type of person we all love to work with. We couldn’t agree more with this sentiment from the culinary legend, Julia Child. Among many of her accomplishments, she is often credited with making French cuisine, which is often regarded as highly intimidating and complex, accessible to the average North american. It’s a wonderful reminder to all of us that great food can be simple, and that we shouldn’t be scared of trying new things - especially when it comes to food!

It’s our first ! Do you remember March 2020? Of course you do.
Most of us associate that time with the first round of pandemic-related lockdowns, and it was a scary period for everyone. In an effort to continue delivering food to families, our child care catering service pivoted to a home delivery service almost overnight, and The Real Food Kitchen was born!
