Happy New Year (afternoon pack) ... we are back in action!

Happy New Year.. and we are back in action!

As we close out 2023 and get ready to embrace whatever 2024 brings, we wanted to look back at the dogs we had to say goodbye to over the past year, and thank the families for entrusting us with their daily care.

From Buddy's singing, to Tucker's quick squirrel chases, to Ray's soft cuddles, to Marlow's tough love attitude, to Casper's in-between the legs affection, and finally to our personal dog Casey, who enjoyed policing the pack fun - we miss you all.

It was a tough year of losses, but we will hold onto the time we spent with each of you in our hearts forever❤️

Casper
2010 - 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Casper's passing.

Casper spent his final pack day surrounded by his buddies at his favorite place, Cherry Beach Dog Park. He was a gentle lab that ended up generating quite the fan base at the beach. On our arrival, Casper would scan the park for his adoring fans, and sprint over to them with a smile ear to ear. If they were busy on his arrival, he let out a few barks before wiggling himself between their legs for a good back scratch and bum rub. Once Casper was done, he moved on to the next person, but as he sauntered away you could see the person he just engaged with having the same ear-to-ear smile. It was beautiful to witness how Casper left someone in a good mode with his interaction with them, and even on his last day, Casper still did this.

Thank you Casper for your love and companionship you gave us over the years. It was a true honour to be a part of your daily care.

Our hearts and thoughts are with Casper's family during this difficult time ❤️

Marlow
2010 - 2023

We wanted to share the heartbreaking news of Marlow's passing on Monday.

Marlow has been a staple at Bow Wow Walkers for 13+ years.

Marlow, named after a small town in England, had a strong independent spirit from day one. He was the dog that if you wanted to go right, or said no, you would find him on the left, doing it, with a smile on his face.

The more affection you gave him, the more he would bark at you to leave him alone, but as he aged, Marlow became more dependent on his inner circle and regularly snuck in cuddles when no one was watching.

Marlow loved the water but was never a swimmer, he preferred keeping all four legs on the ground and taking it all in.

Marlow lived by a soccer field, and during off hours he would be allowed on it, and as the gate opened his eyes would light up as he ran over to grab a soccer ball. We played soccer together, and I even managed to get a few goals past him. One time, the ball got stuck in the netting and Marlow tried to get it out. He tried everything, even barking at it, then moved to a more direct approach of grabbing the net in his mouth, dragging the entire net across the field to the open gate...determined, always!

Thank you for the many soccer matches and low-key cuddles Marlow. We will miss your two-legged excited bounce when we arrived, but most of all, we will miss your determination in doing it your way, every day.

It is with sad news that we share the passing of handsome Ray. Ray Ray as he was known to many, was the largest golden retriever and cuddle bunny if you were fortunate to have met him. He started his adventures with Heather from Irie Paws, where he bonded with his brother Roger and learned the foundations of being a dog. Heather adored Ray, but everyone recognized that he needed a home where he was the only dog. Ray found that loving, kind and individualized home with his mom Tracy. It was just what Ray needed, and he started to move in the right direction. Ray became more well rounded, shared the ball and would always squeeze his way in for cuddles. Of course, he needed to be reminded to share those cuddles, but he would turn on his puppy face to milk a few more cuddles in before allowing another friend to have some.

Thank you Ray for opening up your heart with each new adventure that came your way, and I know your mom, aunt, uncle and niece will miss you dearly, so will everyone who got to see that soft spot in you. Farewell Ray Ray, we will miss you ❤️
