One such is Kathy M Haycock from Eganville, ON. Kathy’s catchphrase is: “Fine Art, Wilderness Heart.” We would say that definitely fits for Kathy.

Whether it’s original paintings, Limited Edition Giclée Reproductions, art gifts or greeting cards, Kathy is pleased to share her art. Kathy’s major comes from her father, Arctic artist Maurice Haycock, and his long time painting partner A. Y. Jackson of the Canadian Group of Seven. Their paintings and stories of Canada’s wilderness filled her world growing up. Arctic trips with her father in ‘76 and ‘84 introduced her to the irresistible lure of the North. After years as a fiber artist, Kathy was introduced to oil paints in ‘98 by her sister Karole, a painter who had been taught by their Dad Maurice. She fell in love the medium. Now a dedicated , she finds unlimited right outside her home in Eastern Ontario’s Algonquin . She also follows her spirit on adventurous painting trips to natural landscapes across and beyond. You can often find Kathy in her Woodland Gallery which is a lovingly renovated historic log barn. The studio is open to the public year round.
