The healthy morning is made with freshly sliced avocado, fluffy Ontario egg whites on an a soft multi grain bun. Topped with charbroiled sweet peppers, lettuce and chipotle Aioli.

The sandwich starts on a grilled on Ace Bakery Bianco, spread with garlic aioli and layered with rough sliced turkey breast that has been smoked low and slow for 6 hrs with oak wood. The turkey is then topped with our gluten free gravy, house made butcher cut (thick sliced) Bacon. We then topped this beauty with thyme roasted Roma tomatoes, crispy kale chips, finished with a basil arugula pesto Aioli.

913 Queen Street East what a life you’ve had. You were Spike’s mom’s hair salon in Degrassi Junior High, you had your insides covered in graffiti that was still showing through the white wash when we moved in, you were Cleese Catering, Paulette’s, Delica, a biryani place that never really opened and now you are . Most importantly though, you’ve been my home for 14 years. I was a baby of 24 when I first moved into you. Someone threw their mom through your front window. A raccoon broke in to steal dog treats. Water poured from your ceiling one night when I was pregnant. We survived a nearby bomb threat and not one but two giant fires next door, many, many months of condo construction where I was sure one of us would crumble and so much neighbourhood change. I’ve dealt with an unimaginable amount of pain and loss inside your walls but I’ve gained so much strength, made so many friends and experienced many joys. And oh the parties we’ve had. Soon the last of our stuff will be packed and someone else will add to your story. I’m going to miss you so much but The Pumps brothers are going to take good care of you promise. Thanks for the memories.

When we opened almost a decade ago, we were so excited to open the shop and start our culinary adventure. Little did we know that at the end of today would be the first day we’ve had to lock the door. Running a 24/7 business has been thrilling and unforgettable. To be part of the daily rituals of the early risers and night dwellers in Leslieville, we’ve created friendships that will surely follow us a few doors down to our new location.

We are so grateful to hear all of your support and it is extremely important to us to continue making The Pumps a landmark in Leslieville with your help.
Tonight we lock the door for the first time and look forward to continuing to focus on serving up the best BBQ in town.
