Stuck at home on a rainy Saturday afternoon with no screens or work allowed, I was at a loss for what to do. But then I remembered I had an adult paint by numbers kit collecting dust on my shelf. 🖼️ 👩‍🎨
With a glass of bubbles in hand, I decided to give it a try. The little spaces are so small that it might take me a while to finish, but that's okay - I'll enjoy the process! 😆
What's your favorite rainy day activity? 🌧️

Thick early morning frost on the vines today. It was so pretty to wake up to. 🍂 🍁

It is pumpkin bread season… and this is a good one! 🍂
The link to the recipe is in my stories. 👩🏼‍🍳

Happy thanksgiving from us to you! 🍁

Happy weekend! ☕️
Cozy fall mornings are the perfect time for a play session by the fire. 🐾 🥰

09/22/2022

Happy first day of fall! 🍂
I have to say, I am really ready for all things fall. Sweaters, brisk mornings, boots, cute scarves, cozy fires, changing leaves, red wine, warm drinks, comfort food, apples, pears, and all things pumpkin, soup, soft flannel… I know there is more, what did I miss?? Tell me, what do you love about fall? 🍂

Our sweet Murphy hurt his paw this weekend.
He tripped when he was chasing the geese flying overhead… he really, REALLY hates geese 😂

Thankfully, he is starting to feel better and will be chasing geese again in a few days. 🥰

I absolutely love a picnic!
Packing up the nibbles, grabbing a blanket or 2 to have lots of room to sit and lounge on, scouting out a quiet place or even in a park for lots of people watching and spending time talking and nibbling with my boys… love it! 💕 🧺

Who else loves taking picnics too? 🙋🏼‍♀️

Today is definitely a good day to sit by the pool and relax a bit today. We haven’t done much of that this summer… today is the day to start. ☀️
Happy Sunday everyone.

Niagara-on-the-Lake really is one of those rare places where it is beautiful all year round. BUT, summer has my heart. Everything is green, growing, delicious and the weather is ideal. 🍷 🍑 🍇 ☀️

Happy Friday!
I am dreaming about the weekend already. Do you have any special plans this weekend? 😎

06/27/2022

Summer break is for morning swims! Murphy works very hard to protect us from the pool robot 🤣. For my other pool owners - do you prefer to swim in the morning or the afternoon? Or maybe an evening dip? 💦

Happy weekend! We have been doing a LOT more hosting this summer, so I had to up my outdoor entertaining game! I am LOVING how colourful this photo is. I’ll be sharing all about this gorgeous tablescape on Cityline in a couple of weeks. Anything you spot that you’re loving?

06/21/2022

Cheers to the first day of summer ☀️. Boy have I been waiting for this day! It definitely called for a celebratory sip in afternoon. How are you ringing in the new season today?

Photos from Shoana Jensen's post 06/16/2022

It’s peony season!! Greg surprised me with these the other day from one of our local farmer stands. I love watching peonies bloom, they get so full from when they’re just buds! 🌸 I’ll be using these as a centerpiece for the kitchen island, dining table and outdoor dining table, too! Flowers are the best table decor! Do you have a favourite summer flower?

When a craving hits you, just roll with it! This one was👌🏻.

Toasted rye bread 🍞
Avocado 🥑
Poached eggs 🥚
Homemade pickled onions* 🧅
Salt & pepper🧂

And why not add a glass of homemade ice tea?! Did you watch the a couple of weeks ago where we made some?

📝 *The super easy recipe for pickled onions is on my website.

Monday snuck up on me! Again! It’s an extra long to do list this week so I’ll be at my desk mostly, which means I’m already counting down the days until the weekend 🤣. How was your start to the week? Any Monday rituals?

06/03/2022

A beautiful way to close off the week! I took this on my iPhone the other night and there is NO filter! Such a magical moment that I’m so glad I snapped. I hope everyone has a happy start to their weekend 💕 See you Sunday at 3pm for !

The renovation blogs are ALL LIVE on my website! From the roof to the laundry room, the flooring to the countertops – the details are pen to paper (or is it keyboard to screen??) to answer all your questions. 🏘️ And yes, this includes everyone’s favourite space, the kitchen! I hope you enjoyed this renovation journey!

Reminder - Hang out with me in the kitchen for Sunday Live at 3PM EST where we’ll make ice tea together and I’ll show you my favourite kitchen tools!

ON THE BLOG: from the walls to the ceilings, the trim to the doors, I've shared ALL the paint colours I used in the house on the blog. No surprise I kept it pretty classic! Do you prefer a lot of colour in your home or a more monochromatic look like me?

05/23/2022

So fresh, they look faux! Our apple trees are in blossom! I found these branches on the ground and couldn’t let them go to waste. I suspect these arrangements are going to end up all over the house this season! Hope you’re having a beautiful holiday Monday 🌸

05/20/2022

Yes way rosé! One of my favourite seasons is here, clearly Murphy loves it too! 🤣 I will definitely open a bottle or two this weekend. What’s one of your favourite summer drinks?

Photos from Shoana Jensen's post 05/16/2022

Normally when you live on a vineyard, the gorgeous view of the vines steal all of the attention. But this time of the year it is alllll about our apple trees! They exploded this weekend and the smell is incredible! 🌸 🍎 Did you know apple trees were this stunning?

05/11/2022

ON THE BLOG: the importance of choosing the right garage door. I’ve been putting pen to paper on all the long details from the renovation over on my blog! Hopefully all of your questions are answered and sharing my experience is helpful 🏡

I get asked a lot about what makeup products I use, and these are my current daily go-tos! Each item is linked on my website (including my favourite makeup brushes!) and I did a SUNDAY LIVE tutorial on my routine - it’s saved a few posts back if you want to see it. I use a combination of new products and long-term favourites - I’ve used the same eyeliner since my teen years! How often do you switch up your makeup routine?

Photos from Shoana Jensen's post 04/26/2022

Even Murphy is stuck with a case of the Mondays… on a Tuesday 😴 Anyone else have a hard time getting going this week?? Murphy and I are feeling extra sleepy in the grey weather we’re having! Swipe for his close up 🤣

This ‘spice library’ was totalllly worth the effort 😍. I cook a lot, and have used this system in small spaces too. I gathered all my spices then condensed any doubles or ones I don’t use. Mason jars are my favourite to store spices, so I picked a size and measured out to make sure they would all fit (some math required 🤣). The pretty labels are from Etsy and are just as beautiful as they are practical! Link to the Cityline segment is on my website with more details on this spice drawer of my dreams! Swipe to see before the labels ➡️

There is no such thing as too many posts about Murphy. You guys love him almost as much as we do! 🥰 I love catching him with messy ears! I love when this happens, I maybe wait a little while before I brush them out because it’s too cute! 😉 We’re having to get him groomed more often now that he’s a country dog but he actually loves it. If you’re a pet owner, how often is yours at the groomer? 🐾
