“Ever since I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for storytelling and the willingness to chase a dream. My path to become an actor and screenwriter/producer is unique, and my time as a fisherman, diver and oilfield worker – just to name a few of my odd jobs along the way – helps inform my
work and gives authenticity to my roles.
All my experiences in life, my background and my career path have made me who I am today. As a storyteller, these experiences allow me to bring something unique and real to each project. I plan to keep pushing boundaries with my work, and I look forward to seeing where this winding path takes me next.”
- Colten Wilke
Join Colten & host Jade Yurich at 5PM ET on , we’re looking forward to discussing the projects THUNDERBIRD & THE SHIPWRECKED HOGGER!

While Colten Wilke is best known for his lead actor role in the 2019 supernatural thriller "Thunderbird," his first lead role in a major film, the Kelowna native took an unusual path to acting.
Colten is an actor and filmmaker, the co-owner of Ocean Twilight Films and a producer at HogHead Media. Prior to the big screen, he worked on dive boats and oil derricks - leading excursions and deep dives into remote islands and uninhabited territories while teaching himself to write and act in screenplays in his spare time.
With his first lead role in "Thunderbird" and a couple of exciting projects soon to be released, including "The Shipwrecked Hogger" and "Airband," Colten Wilke is a noteworthy young actor and filmmaker who has only just begun to demonstrate his many talents.
A dedicated storyteller with a unique, blue-collar background, Colten is passionate about identifying resonant stories with powerful themes that connect with everyday audiences. Inspired by the name of the boat he worked on for three years as a halibut fisherman, Colten decided to name the production company he founded Ocean Twilight Films. He trained at the Victoria Academy of Dramatic Arts, and he has also appeared on Kneel Before Pod, The Closing Act and Babble Talk.
Join us tomorrow at 5PM ET for what’s sure to be an entertaining and informative discussion on Colten’s journey!
