Setsubun, February 3rd, is a Japanese tradition to eat a Thick Long Roll, called Ehomaki Aüs, facing a certain direction without saying any words from start to finish!
Setsubun means Setsu 節 from Ki-setsu季節
(Season) and Bun 分
from Bun-Katsus (Divide), which is when the season changes and often time it’s easy to get sick around the time.
At this Setsubun, the purpose is to say bye to bad things, sickness and bad luck, and invite health and wellness.
