Dr Vin Gupta is Amazon's Chief Health Officer & a very credible source of information about for AND the impact of Air Quality on human health and performance.

We spend esp in Northern climates, 90% of our lives indoors. Poor air quality and the presences of viruses which use particles as a vector can and do make us sick on an acute and chronic basis.

An assessment of ergonomic issues in the home offices of university employees sent home due to the COVID-19 pandemic - IOS Press 11/09/2021

BACKGROUND:

As millions of workers have shifted to telework, special accommodations for workers with respect to ergonomics may be required to ensure the workforce remains healthy.

METHODS:

A survey about home office ergonomics and discomfort was sent to faculty, staff, and administrators by email and was completed by 843 individuals.

RESULTS:

Over 40%of the participants reported moderate to severe discomfort (severe low/middle back pain, moderate discomfort in eyes/neck/head, and discomfort in the upper back/shoulders). Laptops (always and often) were widely used (85%) with most using the laptop monitor (55%) of all respondents. Further, less than 45%of the seating conditions were reported as having adjustable arm rests.

Dear Your employees are not just working with , They have now started in the last 5 months to have bona fide that are costing your organization The solutions are 1/100th of the cost of ergonomic assessments after the fact.

Airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2: The world should face the reality 09/23/2021

DO NOT prevent the spread of SAR-CoV-2 aka -19

So what is large & international body of science saying;?

"Abstract" published in Science Direct

Hand washing & maintaining social distance are the main measures recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) to avoid contracting COVID-19. Unfortunately, these measured DO NOT prevent infection by inhalation of small droplets exhaled by an infected person that can travel distances of tens of meters in the air & carry their viral content. Science explains the mechanisms of such transport & there is evidence this is a significant route of infection in indoor environments. Despite this, no countries or authorities consider airborne spread of COVID-19 in their regulations to prevent infections transmission indoors. It is therefore extremely important, that national authorities acknowledge the reality that the virus spreads through air, & recommend adequate control measures be implemented to prevent further spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, in particularly removal of the virus-laden droplets from indoor air by ventilation."

What are the science based solutions then?

1. Ensure ventilation systems, are updated; ensure (Check with Facility Managers in your ) an increase in rates & exchange; that HEPA or > levels of filters are installed & changed out regularly per recommended schedules.

2. Keep windows open & internal doors, to allow air flow to increase & be circulated.

3. TAKE DOWN PLEXIGLASS barriers as these alter the flow of fresh air & have been well proven to increase the spread of

4. Get outside as much as you can; outside, outside

5. Wear only masks or greater eg ; fit them properly to your face & use care when removing the mask from your face.

6. per the protocols of each Pharmaceutical company. (expect protocols to change as with any science, as when new evidence comes to light, recommendations & protocols should evolve & change. Imagine if the old "science" that said MD's & Midwives do not need to wash their hands before procedures continued today so as not to change or evolve?")

7. Demand more of representing you & your community: demand they follow gold standard, international science when they develop protocols, shut downs, or don't finance proper HVAC systems in our hospitals, schools, colleges, universities, public spaces, & office towers. Quote the science when speaking with these groups.
