🚨 Breaking news: Amazon extends its Black Friday/Cyber Monday (BFCM) sale to 11 days from Nov 17-27. 🚨
The lead-up to BFCM has always been a key time to gain momentum before the tentpole event as shoppers hunt for early deals. Looking back at 2022, conversion rates rose 7% in the 2 weeks leading into BFCM, making this a prime time to advertise and boost sales velocity while traffic and conversions are high.
But, if you have a limited budget or inventory, you don't need to fret. This 11-day deal period is entirely optional, so you’ll still be able to select which days and which ASINs you want to run deals on.
Regardless of whether you want to extend your deal period, or stick to the traditional 5-day period, there’s still a lot to think about in the lead-up to BFCM. To make things simple, we’ve put together a checklist with everything you need to do to set yourself up for success. 📋✔️

Here are 4 hourly insights from Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2022 you need to know before building out your 2023 strategy 👇
1️⃣ Advertising on Black Friday was most efficient between 6-7 AM (PST) when sales peaked while ACOS was at a daily low (23%).
2️⃣ Black Friday saw a second peak from 4-8 PM (PST) when impressions peaked. This is a key time as CPC decreased throughout the day by 28%.
3️⃣ Traffic and sales increase during the afternoon of Cyber Monday with shoppers looking to secure last-minute deals. In 2022, Cyber Monday saw 30% more ad sales from 4-8 PM (PST) than Black Friday.
4️⃣ Across Cyber 5, advertisers saw the most efficient ad performance on Cyber Monday from 7-11 AM (PST) with ACOS averaging 22.3%.
