Hey everyone! We have a new event lined up for Oct 9th at 11am! We would be helping to clean up the trail at Myra Canyon while enjoying the stunning fall views! Find more details and sign up https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/myra-canyon-volunteer-cleanup-tickets-183797311707
Sorry to everyone who cleared their Saturday, but we've had to cancel the event.
The SUO has stated that we are not able to promote events using social media at this time, even if they are organized by a third party organization. This is due to current covid restrictions from the university safety committee. Additionally other student groups have raised concerns with regards to the organization who was running the cleanup.
So we are NOT going ahead with the cleanup.
That said, we have a lot of other events planned for this year as soon as the restrictions are dialed back.
There will be other cleanups, group hikes, skiing and snowboarding, and we're going to have an agricultural and water scientist putting together a field school for the spring.
Hopefully we'll get to see you at one of those instead!
Cheers,
Logan
