Camino song #3 “My Dream Of You!”. Still battling the flu but wanted to record this down for posterity. 🍀 I find it fascinating that relationships are based on an ideal. A dream. We fall in love with someone that touches us inside and we hold onto that. As the years go by, while we are away from our lovers and even when and if they pass on, we cherish the dream. 10,000 DAYS This song was originally recorded on my television series The Listening Room. The fabulous John Noseworthy took the song and added an arrangement to it. I thought he did a great job. The lyrics of the song were written as the dying words and wishes of a parent to their child. For parents that have children late in life, 10,000 days represents about 26 years; which for some, is all the time they have with their parents. Kind of reminds us to make every day count! Here's a song I wrote for my son and his girlfriend many years ago when they were young. He was going away to Korea to teach English and she stayed behind. Although I didn't have a front row seat to the love affair I could sense some of the feelings that I'm sure we're going on. Tis hard to be away from someone you love. Enjoy the music. 3rd DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS!! “Mele Kalikimaka” A week or so before this concert, I went down to the retirement home “Parklands on the Gardens” and personally asked Alexia Madonough to sing with me on this one but she respectively declined. I thought it would have been a nice legacy for her. Sadly, she passed Jan 15th of this year but she will alway be remembered as the great lady and politician that she was. Lucky for me John Spearns my Cellist filled the bill and did a wonderful job. Ps I’ve been there out in the snowy road ( without the horses) watching the woods fill up with snow. Such a peaceful, quieting of the mind feeling. Happy days! Bill

4th DAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS!! “The Story That’s Behind” by bill jardine What can I say about this one. The song is an adaptation of a storyline with some embellishment here and there. I read the story in a Wayne Dyer book and I just felt compelled to share the story in song. I think we all have a little of Johnny Reed in us and I’m sure we all have know and have felt love from someone like the teacher who mentored him. My dad had died a few months before the concert and so it was a bit tough to get through the song at the end but I managed to pull though. He would have been proud of me on pulling off this my first live concert with a back up band. John Spearn's cello certainly brought the song up to a new dimension - thanks John. Happiness to all. Bill
