Embodied Essence

I met you today, 4 years ago.

If you know us you know our story.

2 souls with plans to be in the woods, but a weekend of intense rainfall altered both our plans

As fate would have it, we both found ourselves sitting across a table from each other at a speed dating event hosting by (I’m still not convinced she wasn’t scheming behind the scenes to have us there and match us together for the first “date”

We have great love

And also intense pasts, triggers and patterns

No love story is perfect, ours included

But, we are committed to each other, our love and our why

So we work it - the pain, the edges, the joy

The past two years have been particularly intense - building a cottage and now a house (I’ll admit my worst side comes out - hello controlling shadow)

We have travelled a lot and yet with project commitments, the little local things we love have been almost non existent and it’s getting to us.

I know this is a season and in 6 months we will be in our new home and things will open up

Love and life has seasons.

It can’t always be perfect

We do our best

Chase your dreams

Forgive

Reset

Lead with love

So not expect perfection

Love is our greatest lesson and the biggest place of growth

Allow it to shape you and bring you back to self.

Remembrance and expansion

Women are the most powerful force on this earth

And for most of us, we have forgotten, lost connect to and buried our power under layers of shame, dialogues and fear

I know this to be true because I was that women

And I also know that it is possible to reclaim what is yours, fully

How?

Embodiment

It is the way in which we use our body, our breath and our sound to explore and unwind the deepest, truest and often most vulnerable parts of ourselves

Touching, loving and bringing it all into the light

The Circle at is a monthly women’s circle where we gather to connect, practice and speak our truth in a space of love, support and understanding

Each month we dive into a theme, together

This months theme was Pleasure - a topic that can be edgy, a topic that has been misconstrued in modern society, something a that many women have disconnected themselves from to be safe or to hold onto love

Seeing the women alive from spending over an hour just for them, with their heart, their body, their pleasure

Here are some of the take aways

-She realized that she doesn’t give herself time and permission to just dance
-She realized that she hasn’t been taking the time to love her body fully
-She found an old story locked away that although she forgot about it and is in tune with her body, it was affecting her ability to truly enjoy dancing
-She felt the duality of her sexual awakening and the gremlin that still pops its head up to criticize and shame her - the journey never let ends
-She lasted through a point of shame is her childhood and reclaimed a practice of pleasure for herself
-She felt into the power of being with women and how critical it is for us to thrive
-She felt herself for the first time in years

There was laughter, tears, deep understanding and so much Love

Sisterhood has been challenged in so many ways over the past century, and to see these women together fills me with so much joy

We need this

Embodied Women’s Circles are our way back to our truth and how we heal the planet

Did I make him a king?

No

I simply saw, acknowledged and met the king that was already alive in him

In relationship there is so often a chicken and egg effect at play

And goodness knows I am just as guilty as any

And it goes something like this :

We are in a moment of conflict and rather than opening to love, we close and punish

He hurt me so I’m going to give him the cold shoulder until he loves me again

She’s being cold and distant, I’m going to withhold my love until she opens

And around and around we go

Stalemate

But what if (and let me tell you it’s not easy) we look beyond what’s in front of us, to the love and the human beside us and ask ourselves “what does love want?”

Can I open despite my frustration and hurt? How would that shift the energy. Without needing anything to change?

If these any kind of magic I have experienced. It’s this

Opening to love and watching how your partner responds

Seeing them as a king and watching how they step in and step up

Trusting first and feeling how trustable they are

In the question of who goes first, the answer is always love

Walk through the world as love
See the king in him
Lead with love

And see how the world transforms

I’ve played both sides of this, I’ve worked this edge. I’ve failed many times. I know how challenging it can be - especially when we get stuck in habit - but I can tell you it is beyond worth it and it will radically change your most intimate relationships and the world around you

The process is simple yet incredibly powerful

It is also non-linear

It is not always easy

The second step is to give all of this a seat at the table, personify it, get to know and understand it, find the gifts, transmute and alchemize it

Then it’s time to amplify the truth, your radiance, your heart, your True Essence

This is a journey of the heart, of devotion to loving well in this lifetime - yourself, those closest to you, and the world

The ripple effect is real

And sneakily you will find your way back to new aspects to u wind as you bask in the glow of amplification

And you will be equipped with tools to recreate the process. A new awareness to bolster your heart and your growth

Life is a wildly beautiful and sometimes painful journey, but it is so worth it

I also have 1 x 1:2 package for a couple who wants to go all in and recommit to loving each other well. To go deep and discover more. To equip themselves with tools to move through the tough times and to amplify the exceptional moments.

All containers are a holistic approach to your full being and how you relate with the world. Embodiment and breath are the foundation and from there we explore

She HATED it?!

Nobody wants to hear that, but I actually celebrated it and turned it into a moment of truth and expansion - for both of us.

For my student, she learnt that by locking down her emotions she was allowing them to grow larger and take more hold of her. Her resistance to the practice showed her the real practice - you ch ing, acknowledging and unkinking this energetic block in her system.

On the other side? Freedom? It doesn’t mean she can’t or won’t even feel the grief and sadness, but she can relate to it in a different way and not let it take her own entirely.

For me? It showed me I am doing exactly what I am on my path to do. By placing people in situations that allow them to touch an edge (that can be anything from grief to joy) they will feel something. And this helps to pint their needle more towards their true north.

I will always and forever stand by the idea that whether you live what I say or disagree entirely, I have done my job. Lightbulbs, thinking, questioning - it all points you more true. And that is my dream for everyone!

Stepping into space with me is a deeper cut into what is it to be human.

I am a Yoga teacher, but that means SO much more now than it ever did before - more on that soon ❤️

I encourage you to feel into your responsiveness to situations. What is it showing you, telling you, guiding you towards? Is it truth or trigger? Is it resistance? If so what’s beneath that?

Moral of the story : I’m glad she hated the class because she grew.

Step into Divine Sisterhood at this month ✨

I am so excited to collaborate with and teach at Studio Twenty Two this spring and host Divine : An Embodied women’s Circle.

Women’s circles are so powerful. A space to connect with your sisters, to express your truth and sink into your full expression.

Our class on March 29th will harness the lingering energy of the Equinox and Full moon and focus on rejuvenation and planting seeds of intention as we move into the fertile energy of spring.

Each class will consist of an embodiment practice, sharing and support and a concrete activity of some sort.

This is going to be an absolutely magical evening of love, sisterhood and exploration.

I’m taking a much needed break

There are so many micro reasons that have culminated in this decision that it’s hard to give you the “why”

Life has been full - beautiful and agonizing

I’ve been holding the duality of that and it’s been hard

My commitment to myself and to you, is that I take my own medicine, practice what I preach and do the hard things

So here we are

I have learnt and experienced so much the past two years

Things have been moving and changing fast

And I simply need time to restore myself and integrate

I need to catch up

Focus on myself and my family

Build our home

Ground

So I can come back and serve more profoundly and magically than ever before

This is an act of love

My kids
The world

So, I will be offline solstice to solstice
Planting myself in the earth to feel into what is asking to bloom

I haven’t spoken yet about the last Teacher Training Intensive with and in Sedona yet.

Life has been fast - this I a@practice in and of itself. How do I find the stillness amidst the chaos? AND how do I open to the reality of life with kids, a husband, a career, a passion, an Air BNB cottage and a house build underway?

I know, from this work and diving deep into self that my biggest shadow is control. That I hold on to tight, I have a hard time trusting and surrender is the scariest thing - if I surfer and let go of my control, my system literally pings that as unsafe and I will die.

I know this is not true, but this groove has been entrained in me for 36 years. And so my work is to open open and open again to the truth that I am safe. That I can ease off the reins and allow others to lead and be led myself.

Our shadows are not bad. They are safety mechanisms and there are gifts in each and everyone if only we can shift our perspective to see the light in the darkness.

After the intensive we travelled North to and the lesson of perspective was reinforced here.

If you just look ahead - you miss the magic of the every changing darkness and light in the canyon. Something new, a new angle, a new perspective every changing moment.

So look around my loves. Take your focus off the future for just a minute and see what is around you in this present moment.

You may be surprised to see what you find in the light and the dark and the magic and gifts that are held there for you.

But you can only find them if you have the courage to look.
