Happy Solar Return, my King ❤️

When and I met, I was actually considering what it would be like to take some years of being alone - a temporary renunciate for all intents and purposes. 😅

But the universe had other plans.

Forever grateful for you. May this year be one filled with love, growth and very loud laughter. ❤️

🌸 In the Northern Hemisphere, the blooming has begun and with the first blossoms of the Hawthorn tree, comes Beltane. It is the time of union between the masculine & feminine archetypal energies - a celebration of fertility and the coming abundance. When these two forces overlap in the sacred Vesica Pisces, they create a portal to something more. The third "thing".

While May 1st is the common calendar day of this sacred cross-quarter celebration, true solar Beltane (also known as Beltaine), is when the Sun reaches 15 degrees in Ta**us (taking place on May 5th or 6th this year, depending on where you are in the world). Lunar Beltane then occurs on May 5th, when we have a Full Moon in Scorpio (and eclipse!).

Beltane is considered the official arrival of summer in the ancient Celtic calendar. In the coming days, consider celebrating with the element of fire: light a fire (or even just a candle) and visualize it as both purifying and celebratory, or even dance with the flame. It's also a beautiful time to connect with the power of flowers by creating a flower crown, garland or crafting a bouquet for your altar. 🌸

❄️ 🕯Winter Solstice 🕯 ❄️

In the Celtic Wheel of the Year, Yule is here. Within the portal of 3 days before and after December 21st, Winter Solstice will be celebrated.

In ancient times, Yule was a period of 12 days and was been said to come from the ancient word for “wheel,” connecting to the cycle of nature.

My ancestors celebrated this time as the return of the light. They would gather with friends and family with fires and stories. Yule, or Winter Solstice, is not only the rebirth of the light though, but it is also the death of the previous solar year, so it comes with both the joy of a new beginning and the sadness of an ending.

Astrologically the Sun seems to stand still for about three days before moving into its new direction, so we can see this time as a sacred pause before moving into something new. Perhaps consider spending some time in solitude during these days, in order to truly feel the energies here supporting you to rest and restore before beginning again.

The return of the Sun was celebrated all over the world in different ways and each tradition talks about rebirth. Each tale shares the power of a new beginning at this time period, which is such a wonderful theme to keep in mind while we move through these darker days.

This a soft reminder to your heart, that no matter what you may or may not be celebrating during this next month, we are in introspective energy (despite the tasks that seem to be at hand). It can be a stressful time for many, so do try to find the sweetness of the dark time. Take moments to be with yourself, go to bed early, eat nourishing foods, and light candles in your space during the evenings. Use this new beginning to reset and become more clear as to how you want to move forward next year.

Imbolc is approaching and it has got me thinking about death (no, not in a dark way).

The idea that death is finite has never sat well. Obvious? Maybe, but not for the reason you might think…

What I couldn’t ever understand about death as a child is: « finite. » Nothing was ever truly gone. When grandparents died, I still spoke to them, when my cat passed away, she still visited me in my dreams. Our experiences, our feelings, our thoughts don’t really « end », they just continue in new forms.

As I got older, I realized that nature’s intelligence is far beyond our comprehension - she showed time and time again that when it comes to death, it was not really the end, rather, it was a next chapter, the next phase.

It just takes watching the cycle of nature move through her death and rebirth again and again. Every « death » leads to fertilization. Energy continues to move in its cyclical fashion of an ever changing, yet ever constant, everlasting wheel … every ending rebirths.

Nothing is linear.

Nothing is.

Bowing deeply now to the mystery of this life, this cyclical experience of being born again and this rebirth.

Allow Imbolc to stir within you what which comes next. The redirection. The rebirth.

I’m all about this wreath at winter solstice... here’s why🎄

As winter solstice approaches, time to tap into the symbols and rituals of this time. Which are you most connected to?

🌿The Wreath - symbolizes the Wheel of the Year and the circular nature of life - when we place it on our front door we are honoring the cycles and rhythms of nature.

🪵Yule Log – burn it to honor the Goddess. Lit on the eve of Winter Solstice from the remains of the Yule log of the previous year and burned for 12 consecutive nights (12 days of Christmas).

🕯Lighting candles – light candles after sun down to honor the returning light.

🎄Evergreen tree - life within the dark times. Decorating the tree originated as a Celtic tradition of hanging colored decorations and ornaments on an evergreen tree with images of the sun, moon and stars to represent souls who had passed on.

❤️Holly & Mistletoe – red berries – divine feminine & Mistletoe – white berries – divine masculine, placed in the home to spice up the hone during cold winter nights 🥰

Wrapping up 2021 🎁 and preparing for the ride that is going to be 2022. A 6 year.

A six year is time for abundance, new starts and next chapters.

Every number has its own vibrational essence - basically the number’s personality.

Still feeling the remnants of change...

I know it’s not over yet, but this year has been one messy beauty. So much love, coupled with so much discomfort.

Oscillating between the gratitude of all the blessings and a need for some rest after so much upheaval.

At times it has felt all a little too much... Ah, the beauty of being a human in the 2020’s.

With everything happening and all that has shaken us this year, I am reminded, every day, that we must come back to love.

There is no safety outside of ourselves. It rests in our own trust and our own hearts.

It’s the only way through. ❤️

Investment.

tonight on The Feminine Code Business School we talked about investing. But I wanted to take it a bit further…

When we first think about investment, money often comes to mind.

And while money is an important aspect when it comes to creating and building your own business, so too are the investments that are not completely monetary.

When you’re consciously investing, you also want to consider diversifying…

That is, diversifying all the ways you can invest: time, money, attention, love…

Whenever there is an outflow, you are investing.

Take note of how you wish to see your growth and your business’ growth take shape.

Consider asking yourself:

🌀How do I invest my time (how do I structure my days, how do I procrastinate, how do I over or under-use my energy quota)?
🌀How do I invest in people (who do I spend time with, how much time do I spend with others versus on my own, how do I prioritize my family, friends and co-workers)?
🌀How do I invest my attention (where do I focus my energy, who gets my energy, what goals / dreams receive my energy)?
🌀How do I invest in my growth (what courses, trainings, travels and experiences are of most value to me right now)?

And so too, how do I invest my money?

When it does come to money and our investments from a quite literal sense, asking ourselves:

🌀How does this purchase, investment or saving impact the future I want to see occur?

When we are consciously investing and diversifying all these investments, abundance is all around. 🤍

How does the feminine lead?

When it comes to our livelihoods and our businesses we’ve been taught to be masculine, and we’ve (wrongly) been taught that this is where success lies.

What society never told us is that unity, the center point between the masculine and the feminine is where true expansion resides.

The great success we seek lies right between the masculine and the feminine. At the center of the vesica piscis ⚭

When it comes to how we operate in our careers, and how we run our businesses, the feminine asks us to receive.

This whole idea of “leaning in” is based on an old system of patriarchal values.

Yes, it is time for women to rise up, but it is time for this to happen with the feminine embodied.

This new way of leadership must be done through kindness, compassion, sensitivity to one’s needs, a connection to nature and the people around us, a vision based on truth, goals based on the the greater good.

This way of leading requires us to take care of our own needs first, so that we’re not operating from a place of burnout or neglect.

This way of leading requires us to lead from the heart, and feel into the energy of everything we put our effort into.

This way of leading with the feminine does not abandon the masculine, it meets it with grace.

In order for the feminine to rise, we must accept all her aspects. Her light aspects, and her ferocious dark aspects.

When the feminine rises, it does so from a place of love and in this place of love we can access endless wisdom, strength and abundance.

She was a Queen and sometimes King (- often depicted dressed in male clothing to denote her rank...).

What if we learned to lead our lives, businesses - and even countries - with the spirit of the divine feminine? Consulting the strategy in addition to spirit... A leadership where spirit led the way and abundance always followed?

Since my last visit to this temple, I have been journeying with Hatshepsut. She has continued to guide the way for my work as she exemplifies the epitome of what it means to be leading from The Feminine Code.

Spirit and commerce need not be separate. In fact, they are divinely interlinked and should we choose to lead our lives and livelihoods this way, the flow will be undeniable.

And the crown she wore upon her head was not made of jewels, but of the flowers of the Nile.

And the song that she sang was not of her voice, but from her ancient heart.

And the stones she walked upon were not of this world, but of the stardust from many moons ago.

Gratitude.

We are being offered the time and space now to shed and release, to consciously create endings, to face our fears and purge them.

This week I’ve been dealing with a fear of the unknown - currently in the process of finding a new home, as well as facing the reality my partner and I will not be able to travel to visit each other after he leaves Norway next week with new Canadian rules in place. It feels heavy and we don’t know when it will change.

As things around the world continue to get more and more wild, I am working with the energies present now to support their release within me. Walking through the fire and facing it.

As we release from our personal experience, the external experience changes. As we do our own work, we are healing those around us.

🌀 Write a letter two letters, one to your inner masculine and one to your inner feminine selves, describe to them the gifts they have given you, give thanks.

I held my breath upon seeing this view... Incredible how our breath is inextricably linked to our emotions. How it changes them, helps us cleanse them and calm them.

As we summited today’s peak, there were gale force winds on the edge of the cliff. It was scary for some moments, and magical at the same time to feel the force of the planet’s exhale.

To feel the element of air activate today was powerful. To feel the earth’s breath change with her emotions, potent.

Father wind was cleansing us. Cleansing the planet of what we must let go of now. The fear that must leave now. Making room for the strength that must rise now.

The resonance on this planet is rising now. ⚡️⚡️We must take a deep breath, let it all go with a long exhale... and with what might seem like reckless abandon, move onwards and upwards. 💫💫💫

But where I learn the most is by stilling myself and listening to my heart.

It happens whenever I take a moment to pay attention.
It happens whenever I am in nature alone.

Truth time: What you DISOWN in yourself with OWN you.

Shadow work is essential when it comes to getting out of our own way.

Avoiding the shadow will keep us in same patterns, playing the same games, and even in denial.

In business, our shadow crops up in ways like being afraid to make a shift in our offerings, or even offering something at all, under or over pricing, communicating or not communicating about your business, revenue blocks and customer base growth.

I wrote this down in my journal last night when I was reflecting on the Virgo New Moon and how she was here to support us now.

“Don’t lose your practice to the practicalities”

For me personally:

Over the last few months, I found myself losing my practice because of the practicalities.

My practice being: morning meditation, yoga, reflection time and prayer.

The practicalites being: earlier meetings, later nights, social engagements, silent space and ultimately down prioritizing my own needs to get things done.

Throughout the summer, I noticed my energy was off. I also noticed that I haven’t felt like this in some years (aka early days of my tech CEO life). Being out of my comfort zone throughout a lot of the summer did a number on my nervous system.

Now, after four days in a quarantine hotel being completely in solitude (kind of like a forced vipassana), I realized how much I was not in balance these last months.

Isn’t it nice when you remember why we dedicate space for our own inner practice?

I have a feeling, you know the feeling... where things kind of fall off track and it can be difficult to notice or even figure out how to get back - especially if a situation has changed (new job, new home, new location, new relationship l etc).

That being said it has only taken me a few days to feel a sense of normalcy in my skin again (normal - haha).

I’m looking forward to being thrown off track again and seeing if I learned anything 😂🤍⚡️

**Crying** (tears of gratitude)

My dream has always been to be able to live between Canada (birth home) and Norway (adopted home). And being my own boss has always been part of that plan.

I am blessed to have been given the gifts of this life, this man, this family, these friends and my business that is so damn aligned with what I came here to do...

I am in tears (admittedly also because I’m at the airport leaving this side of the ocean) but also in gratitude for all these incredible blessings. I was able to be home for my nephew’s 2nd birthday, my dad’s birthday, the birth of my niece (on the swipe 😭😍) and to spend real time with some of the people I love most in the world... even while the world is busy flipping upside down.

You have the power to create the life you dream about living. You have the power to live it now... to start now.

The freedom that comes from jumping into living your dreams helps everything realign.

This is the magic of trust, truth and the universal law of living from love.
