Tony and I made a delicious ham with a hashbrowns casserole, baked carrots & brussel sprouts with bacon.
The girls had school today, so I recorded the Thanksgiving Day parade and we watched it after school and dance.
The bonus of dual citizenship: two holidays!🧡

We were so lucky to have Uncle Nich, Auntie Kaidi, Grandma & Grandpa join us this year!!!
Truck-or-treating was so much fun!!
Our new neighbourhood is incredible. Lots of of houses decorated to the nines, so many friendly folks & fun adventures.
Tony and mom had over 220 kids to the house tonight!!
And the girls collected more candy than any other year in 2 hours of TOTing.
It was such an unforgettable night. And I’m psyched for all the candy my kids are going to “share” with me over the coming weeks 😏

We were so excited for pumpkin picking day!🎃
This year, we decided to forgo the full pumpkin patch experience, and headed to Paynter’s Market to find an incredible selection of pumpkins to choose from.
We love our local market so much!

Tony and I took the girls on a 5 mile out & back to the Great Glacier lookout.
It started off chilly, but the steep incline helped us warm up fast 😅
This was my favourite kind of trail- it had so much variety!! Rocky cliff sides, lush forests, wide open spaces, historical significance, and a dynamite vista complete with glacier view to top it all off 🏔️💚
My heart was so so full after this hike.

Begbie Falls hike!
Only 10 minutes from Revelstoke, this beautiful hike down Begbie Mountain the waterfall was so lovely!! We loved meandering through the forest together 💚

Happy Daughters Day to our two incredible daughters, Ella & Audrey.
They make us so proud every single day💕

Ella and Audrey went back to school today!!
We were all very excited and pretty nervous.
I just know they are going to have so much fun back at in-person school, making friends and bonding with their teachers.
Ella gets to ride the school bus and and is off the middle school. It’s a big step- lockers, different classes and teachers, and so many opportunities for hands-on learning.
This mama is pretty anxious not to have my kiddos with me all the time, but I think it’s the right next step for all of us 💚

My parents have been visiting for the last week and it has been wonderful.
On Saturday we took them to our favourite beach, Gellatly Bay, and out for ciders & queso at
It was a fabulous smoke-free day, something we appreciate more than ever these days 💚

KVR Trestles Day! 🚂
Today, for the first time ever, we walked allllll the way around Myra Canyon. Over all 14 trestles and over 20 km!!
These kids rocked it. That was a LOT of walking, and it got warm as the morning turned to afternoon.
A great fun family outing spending 4.5 hours in beautiful nature💚

Adventures in Naramata 🌳☀️
We love this section of the KVR trail system, tucked into the mountainside far above the lake in Naramata.
It so so quiet, so peaceful, and the destination of exploring the Little Tunnel is always so much fun!
I love that we’re still making family memories together on the weekends!

We went to our great local library for the first time yesterday and stocked up on some great titles for the girls’ summer reading program.
They are so excited for all of the prizes they could win!! And all the books they are going to read, of course 😉

It needs a lot of work, but we’ll get there😅
The girls were good helpers. They hunted down all the pine cones 🤗

We have exciting news and a big life change announcement…
We bought our first home!!!🏡
Our RVing journey has brought us to West Kelowna.
After spending last winter in Oliver, we fell in love with the Okanagan region in the interior of BC🇨🇦
The hot summers, the cold winters, the perfectly mild springs and autumns are fantastic.
Tony and I are officially living in our childhood holiday destination and that feels pretty damn incredible 🤩
We’ve got lots of plans for this beautiful house. Stay tuned!

Our time in Kimberley was wonderful🌲💚
I’m so pleased we were able to return for a third time.

Yesterday, the girls and I went on a big hike for the first time in a long time.
This gorgeous hike was 6.5 miles and bonus: right across the street from our campground.
We had a blast and, as always, I am so proud of my kiddos for grinding through some steep grades and tough climbs.
BC never stops impressing me. Her beauty never gets old🌲💚

2 YEARS ON THE ROAD🌲✨
It has been two years since we moved out of our house and onto our travel trailer.
We celebrated by arriving in one of our favourite spots in Kimberley and hiking along the river through the campground.
It’s hard for Tony and I to put into words what this experience has been for us.
It’s been the life slow-down we didn’t know we needed.
It’s been the family bonding times and memories made that never could’ve happened in “normal” life.
And the places we’ve explored… breathtaking and unforgettable🤩

We love our family campground walks. It gives us an opportunity to spend some time together after busy work days.💚

I was so excited to take the girls for a splash in the river yesterday. The Elk River runs right past our campground and has been calling our name these past few hot days!
I had everything we needed for a super fun afternoon… but when we arrived, the water had risen and the spot I had scoped out to get to our own little island was completely impassable.
We tried to find another spot to cool down in, but the water was absolutely freezing and I couldn’t find another rocky patch of beach, only mud.
Soooo we took a couple of beautiful photos and called it a day! 😅
