Benefits:
Warrior 2 strengthens the legs, shoulders, back and chest muscles. Open the rib cage, invigorate the nervous system, improve hips joint movement. This asana provides a great feeling of grounding and confidence. Main: Hips opener, overall body strength, respiration/circulation.

Front knee above the heel, hips facing to the side, tail bone tuck in, arms in a line, shoulders above the hips.

However, if incorrect form or movements are used, they can actually lead to very common injuries affecting the back, such as a pulled muscle or pinched nerve, as well as potentially more severe issues like a bulging disc or herniated vertebrae. Itβs important to practice proper form and warm-up procedures before performing certain poses or motions to avoid any injury, and to listen to your body to know when to stop and stop your stretch. Correct exercise creates correct movement patterns
When performing exercises over and over we are reinforcing that behaviour and movement. If you are performing that movement incorrectly you are teaching our body bad habits that can again lead to injuries but also lead to poor training outcomes. It is more important to have quality exercise and movement over quantity of exercise and movement, especially in the initial phases. Once movement quality is established and injury risk is lowered, movement quantity can be increased to achieve the desired training outcomes.

Correct technique becomes ever more important if someone has a pre-existing injury or has a more risky health condition.
