We can’t believe that this coming May30th marks our second anniversary 🙏🏼😇🥳! We opened Brunch during very difficult circumstances (remember that 🦠 event 🤦🏻‍♀️) today we see those times in the rear view mirror… We feel overwhelmed with gratitude to be up and running strong 💥💪🏼🙏🏼. How is everyone’s week going so far… I am feeling like its November again 😳🤔🥴. What is up with the amount of rain we’ve had this May?! ☔️☔️☔️🤷🏻‍♀️not patio season yet…🥴

Hey but do not worry their is always something yummy to boost our moods and the wet & cold weather always makes me crave some “Enchiladas Suizas”! Have you tried them? If not I definitely recommend you do! They are absolutely delicious 🥰. Three corn tortillas filled with chicken or cheese covered with our suizas sauce with green tomatillo and cream with grilled cheese on top and a side of refried bean! Yum! 😏😉

Is it Tuesday…🤨. It definitely feels like Monday… Oh well we love the long weekend 😊🙏🏼💥

It makes us feel so happy and grateful we have been able to help with 10% of our coffee sales since we opened almost two years ago an organization in Mexico working for kids with cancer “Casa de la Amistad para niños con cancer”. They do such a great job helping kids in difficult circumstances 💪🏼🙏🏼😇. If you get a chance see for yourself the work they are doing and if you can support them!

Have you felt like I have been feeling… 100% tricked by this weather… Yeah Spring was almost here and then… Bam 💥💥💥 Back to winter 🤨😜…. Oh well what can we say…🤷🏻‍♀️
So may it be 🥶 , spring 🌸 or anything in between… Chilaquiles will solve any existential crisis 😏😉😊. No matter if they are with red sauce, green sauce, mole sauce(personal favorite 🥰), with chicken, eggs 🤔or rib-eye, definitely avocado is a must. But for sure chilaquiles will help with any blues, hangover or whatever the issue might be 😉

This week has been.... different.

We are happy to be open for dine in and take out orders. Thanks to our loyal and new customers who have come in since new social restrictions were implemented. We love you guys!

For anyone with concerns, be assured we are going beyond the minimum requirements outlined by local health authorities. We want you to be able to enjoy our cozy atmosphere and food in a care free environment.

The trees are slowly losing its leaves and the air is turning crispier all the time... Can’t believe the winter is just right around the corner. We are very happy very grateful that TODAY we were able to make our first donation of 10% of our coffee sales to “La Casa de la Amistad in Mexico.” This non profit based in Mexico City does a great job caring for kids with cancer in Mexico.

In recent times their has been a shortage of medical treatment for kids with cancer in Mexico. We have seen the work they do first hand and love ❤️ what they are doing. Kids hold a very special place in the Brunch family and we are over the moon to be able to help kids in Mexico 🇲🇽 that are going through a rough time. To be able to help in such a difficult time for these families warms our hearts and fills us with joy in these challenging times 😊❤️.

The weekend is right around the corner and we’ll have fresh pan dulce and all our Mexican & traditional Brunch dishes. We look forward to cooking for you soon. 🧑🏼‍🍳👩🏻‍🍳😊.

This is our “ofrenda” de mu***os at Brunch. In Mexico an altar is set up to remember the loved people that have died. They can be set up at home or in the cemetery. The ofrenda usually has objects that the deceased would appreciate and would make their spirits feel welcomed. Common items are food, sweet breads, drinks and candles. Traditionally the “cempazuchitl” (yellow marigold) is used throughout the altar as well as sugar skulls.

At Brunch we are honoring three of the biggest idols in Mexico: Juan Gabriel, one of the best singer/songwriters the country has ever had. Chespirito, Mexico’s “little Shakespeare” a comedian, screen writer, director, producer. Cantinflas considered Mexico’s most accomplished comedian.

We are celebrating the “Dia de Mu***os” tomorrow November 2nd. Look forward to welcoming everyone to our Dia de Mu***os Food Fest.
