We got everything organized for a night away from the ship in Fez! After renting a car close to the ship, we embarked on a 3-hour drive from Casablanca to Fez.

The drive itself wasn’t particularly inspiring, but the destination made it all worthwhile! Upon arrival at the beautiful Marriott Fes Jnan Palace, we enjoyed a lovely lunch and spent the afternoon relaxing by the pool. Later, we ventured into town for a delicious dinner of couscous, truly a culinary highlight!

Time for a travel adventure? How about visiting the mesmerizing beauty of Laguna Colorada, a salt lake nestled in Bolivia's beautiful Altiplano. Vivid red hues formed by red sediments and algae, where you'll spot these elegant Andean flamingos, all surrounded by the gorgeous Andean Mountain Range. Insta-ready!

We embarked on an adventure, renting e-bikes and crossing into Spain. The ride was exhilarating, weaving through the scenic beach areas, charming residential streets, and the city center. We paused for a refreshing drink by the beach and Bruce had a swim.

Returning to the ship, Bruce indulged in the hot tubs and plunge pool at the aft, finding it serene. Our day ended with an exquisite dinner at Solis restaurant, a culinary experience we can’t wait to repeat before our journey ends.

Fabulous early breakfast on the deck of the . Off the ship and into a bike rental at Prima Bicycles. We rented city bikes and headed up along the shoreline for a 13 km ride (26 km round trip).

So many interesting sights as Spanish weekend goers headed to the beach for the day. I would have preferred different bikes since there were a few hills and the gears were tough to change while riding uphill.

We stopped at a café for some fresh orange juice – the real taste of oranges was amazing! As we headed back, the heat was increasing, and I was really perspiring.

It was a great ride, but I was happy to get back on the ship for some easier luxury living. Had salmon for dinner and a lovely pineapple cake for dessert. Getting ready for a repeat ride in Gibraltar tomorrow.

Our day at sea on the was absolutely relaxing! Bruce started the day with a fresh latte from the coffee shop, enjoyed on our deck. We then had breakfast outside at the Colonnade, with stunning aft views. The rest of the morning was spent relaxing and reading on deck.

Lunch was a poolside delight with a fantastic selection of salads and fresh-cooked sea bass, all while enjoying the tunes from the Seabourn crew band. A perfect combination!

I even managed to get some laundry done in the well-organized laundry facilities. Before we knew it, it was dinner time, and we had a delightful meal at The Restaurant.

Day 2: Seabourn Ovation – Port-Vendres

We woke up early and enjoyed a nice breakfast delivered to our room. By 9 a.m., we took the tender to Port-Vendres. The town, with its charming streets and vibrant markets, invited us to explore. We wandered all over, but the temperature was very high. To cool off, Bruce took a dip in the sea and we then strolled along the picturesque harbor.

The heat drove us back to the ship, where we enjoyed a great selection of dishes at The Colonnade. The food was varied and delicious, and we appreciated the relaxing atmosphere.

After lunch, we took a much-needed nap in our suite, The afternoon passed quickly, and before we knew it, it was time for dinner.

In the dining room, we had a fantastic five-course set menu. Each dish was a treat, well-made and beautifully served. The attentive service and elegant setting made the meal a highlight of our day. We looked forward to our day at sea tomorrow.

Day 1: Seabourn Odyssey Cruise from Barcelona! 🌊

Today we woke up early due to jet lag, but that didn’t dampen our spirits! Bruce went off in pursuit of coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice – the perfect start to our day. ☕🍊

Next, we headed to a local bike shop and rented bikes. For the next two hours, we enjoyed a scenic ride along the beautiful beaches and through the vibrant city streets of Barcelona. The fresh sea breeze and stunning views were absolutely invigorating.

We then made our way to the Seabourn Odyssey and were in our cabin in no time. The unpacking was quick and seamless, and soon we were off to lunch on Deck 9. We opted for the Japanese restaurant since it opened the earliest, and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and the service was impeccable.

Off to bed early tonight to get on the right time zone. It’s the end of a fantastic day, and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

The Faroe Islands, an archipelago of 18 volcanic isles, is Denmark's hidden gem steeped in Viking history, and dramatic landscapes of sheer cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and quaint villages.

We left Vancouver on July 30, connecting through Calgary to Barcelona. The flight was smooth, and Bruce and I arrived ready for adventure. We took a taxi to our hotel just off La Rambla and caught a nap with the Olympics playing silently in the background.

At 6 PM, we set out to explore. We wandered through bustling streets, admired the architecture, watched street performers, and indulged in some serious people-watching. Dinner was at a rooftop restaurant where we savored tapas and sangria—absolutely delicious!

We strolled back to the hotel around 9 PM for more silent Olympics and hopefully some sleep. A magnificent start to our 18-day journey! 🌍
